Orlando Magic

Pre-Draft Outlook

Draft, groom and hold. That’s been the Magic’s mantra over the last few years and judging from the encouraging results, it has worked. Wasn’t this the same blueprint used by Oklahoma City, and how has that turned out? That’s not to say the Magic will rise to that level, but having Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, both organically grown, is a start.

The Way To Go

Orlando holds two picks each in the first and second rounds. The Magic might be sold on swapping a few of them to some desperate team in exchange for future draft capital. In the meantime, the Nos. 16 and 25 selections should bear fruit. On the radar should be Thomas Sorber, a rebounding center from Georgetown, and guard Walter Clayton, who sizzled in the NCAAs for Florida.
