To be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks
Williams likely won't be back on the floor until mid-November at the earliest. The TCU product played in 69 regular-season games with Oklahoma City during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game, shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from three-point range.

Not close to return yet
Williams (wrist) has been dribbling with both hands and shooting in practice, but it sounds like he's not ready to commit to a timetable. As training camp progresses, it will be interesting to see how quickly he progresses. For now, it sounds like Williams will be questionable for Opening Night on Oct. 21.

Undergoing knee surgery
Williams is likely to miss an extended period of time while recovering from surgery, though no official return timeline has been announced. The forward logged 69 regular-season appearances for the Thunder last year, averaging 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.4 minutes per contest. Oklahoma City's depth should help absorb the loss, but it could also lead to more minutes for Aaron Wiggins or create an opportunity for an unproven young player like Ousmane Dieng off the bench.
