Fantasy News

Jarred Vanderbilt
Not starting vs. Milwaukee

With LeBron James (foot/sciatica) back in the lineup following a one-game absence, Vanderbilt will slide to the second unit. Over his last 10 appearances off the bench, the 26-year-old forward has averaged 6.6 points and 6.0 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game.

James Harden
Posts 31 points in victory

After shooting just 35.3 percent from the field in Wednesday's loss to the Knicks, Harden bounced back with an extremely efficient performance Friday. The star guard scored a game-high 31 points while leading the Clippers in assists. Additionally, he chipped in a season-high-tying two blocks, tallying multiple swats for the fourth time this season and for the first time since Nov. 17. He had shot just 37.3 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from beyond the arc in his previous five games entering Friday's contest, so his efficiency against Brooklyn is a welcome sight.

Anfernee Simons
Strong play continues Friday

Simons scored 11 of his 15 points in the second quarter of Friday's win and led the Celtics' bench in scoring. The eighth-year guard has struggled at times while adjusting to his bench role with Boston, but he's strung together some nice games as of late. He has scored at least 15 points in five of his last six outings, and over that span he has averaged 17.7 points on 51.4 percent shooting (including 57.4 percent from three on 7.8 3PA/G) along with 3.7 assists and 3.2 rebounds over 26.1 minutes per contest.

Keon Ellis
Starting Friday

Ellis will get the starting nod against Golden State after coming off the bench in each of the Kings' last five games. As a result, Precious Achiuwa will slide to the second unit. Ellis has started four games so far this season, during which he has averaged 7.8 points and 1.3 steals in 21.8 minutes per contest.

Precious Achiuwa
Headed to bench

Achiuwa will be replaced by Keon Ellis in the first unit for Friday's game, as the Kings go with a small-ball approach to combat the Warriors. As a member of the second unit this season, Achiuwa has posted averages of 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game.

Alijah Martin
Sees more minutes due to injuries

The rookie second-rounder has spent most of the 2025-26 regular season either in the G League or riding the pine with the Raptors, but he and the rest of bench saw elevated minutes Friday due to the absences of Scottie Barnes (knee) and Brandon Ingram (thumb). Martin saw most of his minutes in the second half and with season highs across the board. RJ Barrett left in the fourth quarter due to a left ankle injury, so Martin could continue to serve in an elevated role off the bench against the 76ers on Sunday depending on the availability of Barrett, Barnes and Ingram.

Trey Murphy
Drops 35 points in win

Murphy returned to action after missing Wednesday's loss to the Hawks due to back spasms, and he led all players in points, triples and steals Friday. The 25-year-old swingman has been on fire recently, scoring 20-plus points in five of his last six appearances, including back-to-back outings with at least 35. He has shot an impressive 43.6 percent from downtown during that span, knocking down at least six triples in four of those games.

Tyrese Maxey
Game-high 29 points Friday

Maxey's one assist Friday was a season low, but the All-Star point guard was still heavily involved in the offense and finished as the game's leading scorer. He's connected on at least three triples in six consecutive games and has posted at least 22 points in 11 of his last 12 outings. Over that 12-game span, Maxey has averaged 28.9 points, 6.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 threes, 2.2 steals and 1.0 blocks over 39.0 minutes per game.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Doubtful to return Friday

Caldwell-Pope logged 10 minutes before exiting the contest with 4:09 remaining in the second quarter, recording two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal. In the likely event he isn't cleared to return, Vince Williams and GG Jackson are candidates to pick up the slack the rest of the way.

Derik Queen
Triple-doubles in win

This was the second triple-double of Queen's career and he set new career highs in boards and dimes. The rookie has been rolling over the past month, flirting with mid-round value behind averages of 12.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest.

Immanuel Quickley
Season-high 13 dimes vs. Boston

Quickley and RJ Barrett were both in line for elevated roles Friday due to the absences of Scottie Barnes (knee) and Brandon Ingram (thumb). Quickley responded with a season-high 13 assists and his fifth double-double of the season while connecting on at least four threes for the 11th time. Barrett left late in the fourth quarter after tweaking his left ankle, so Quickley could be in line for a large role against the 76ers on Sunday if one or more of Barrett, Ingram and Barnes were to be on the shelf.

Ja'Kobe Walter
Drains season-high five triples

Walter entered the Raptors' starting lineup Friday due to the absences of Brandon Ingram (thumb) and Scottie Barnes (knee). Walter got off to a somewhat slow start, but he came alive in the fourth quarter with 11 points -- nine of which came from beyond the arc -- en route to a season high in triples. RJ Barrett left late in the fourth quarter after tweaking his left ankle, so Walter could maintain an elevated role against the 76ers on Sunday even if one or more of Barrett, Ingram or Barnes were cleared to play.

Payton Pritchard
Dominates paint vs. Toronto

Pritchard finished as Friday's leading scorer, but the sixth-year point guard did most of his damage within the arc and was seemingly able to get any clean shot he wanted in the paint. It was his 11th 20-plus-point outing of the season, and he has scored at least 20 points seven times against the Raptors in his career. Through the first five games of January, Pritchard has averaged 18.6 points, 5.8 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 threes and 1.0 steals over 33.0 minutes per game while shooting 50.0 percent from the field.

Jaylen Brown
Lives at charity stripe Friday

Brown did a little bit of everything and did most of his scoring damage from the free-throw line, tying a season high in free throws that he set on two separate occasions before Friday's win. He finished as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Payton Pritchard (27 points), and while he wasn't able to reach the 30-point threshold, Brown has scored at least 23 points in all but one game over his last 15 appearances. Over that span, Brown has averaged 31.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.2 threes and 0.9 steals over 35.2 minutes per game while shooting 51.1 percent form the field.

RJ Barrett
Quickly ruled out Friday

Barrett tweaked his left ankle late in the fourth quarter and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game after being examined by medical staff in the locker room. He's undergoing further tests to determine the severity of the injury, but it puts Barrett in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game against the 76ers. With Brandon Ingram (thumb), Scottie Barnes (knee) and Jakob Poeltl (back) already sidelined, Immanuel Quickley is the lone healthy starter from Opening Night.

RJ Barrett
Goes to locker room

Barrett appeared to turn his left ankle on Sam Hauser's foot while attempting to make a drive to the bucket. He was able to walk to the locker room under his own power at the 4:41 mark of the fourth quarter, albeit with a noticeable limp. The Raptors were already without Scottie Barnes (knee) and Brandon Ingram (thumb), so Ja'Kobe Walter, Jamal Shead and Alijah Martin are in line for more minutes if Barrett is not cleared to return.

LeBron James
Good to go Friday

James was initially listed as questionable but was upgraded to probable Friday afternoon before eventually being cleared to suit up. With the superstar back in action after sitting out Wednesday's loss to the Spurs, Jarred Vanderbilt will likely retreat to the bench. James has averaged 25.9 points, 6.1 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals across 33.2 minutes per contest in his last 10 outings.

Rui Hachimura
Could return Monday

Hachimura appears to be in the final stages of his recovery from a right calf strain, which has prevented him from playing since Dec. 28. He could operate under a minutes restriction upon his return, but his availability would result in less minutes being available for Jake LaRavia, Jarred Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht.

Vit Krejci
Starting Friday

The fifth-year pro will join the first unit due to Zaccharie Risacher (knee) being sidelined. Krejci has started just two games so far this season, during which he has averaged 13.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 35.0 minutes per tilt. He has been extremely efficient from three-point range of late, shooting 49.2 percent from downtown on 6.5 attempts per game over his last 10 outings.

Mouhamed Gueye
Reverting to bench Friday

Gueye made his fourth start of the season Wednesday against the Pelicans, finishing with 10 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, four steals and two blocks over 31 minutes. Despite the impressive stat line, the third-year pro will revert to a bench role Friday due to the return of Onyeka Okongwu, though Gueye should still have a sizeable reserve role in the absence of Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles).

Hunter Tyson
Starting Friday

This will be the first start of the season for Tyson, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Jalen Pickett, Christian Braun, Peyton Watson and DaRon Holmes. Tyson put up 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT) over 19 minutes during Monday's win over the 76ers, so he's on the radar as a potential deep league streamer with the starter designation.

Jalen Pickett
Starting sans Murray

With Jamal Murray (ankle) sidelined, Pickett will get the starting nod for the fourth time since Dec. 31. In four starts so far this season, the 26-year-old guard has averaged 12.5 points, 2.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds across 26.5 minutes per contest.

Aaron Gordon
Available to play

Despite Jamal Murray (ankle) being unavailable for Friday's game, Gordon will continue to work in a reserve role to conserve his minutes. However, Gordon should see an uptick in usage Friday night, so even with minutes restrictions, he's an attractive option in daily fantasy leagues.

Christian Braun
Available Friday

Braun will shed his probable tag and make his third appearance following a 23-game absence due to a sprained left ankle. The 24-year-old shooting guard has averaged 4.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 27.0 minutes per game over his last two outings.

Jamal Murray
Won't play Friday

With both Murray and Nikola Jokic (knee) unavailable, it'll be interesting to see if Aaron Gordon's minutes restrictions are lifted. Gordon has come off the bench the past two games, but it would make sense for him to start, as the Nuggets will be desperate for offense. Tim Hardaway could also see a lot of shots falling his way Friday and Jalen Pickett should be more involved in the rotation. Murray's next chance to play will come Sunday against the Bucks.

Bruce Brown
Cleared to play Friday

Brown is working through right knee inflammation, but the issue won't prevent him from playing Friday. The veteran wing could enter the Nuggets' starting lineup -- or at least see more minutes off the bench -- due to the absence of Peyton Watson (ankle/illness).

Spencer Jones
Not playing Friday

Jones has been working through both left ankle inflammation and an illness. The duo of ailments are enough for the second-year forward to be sidelined for Friday's contest, and his next chance to play is Sunday against the Bucks. Tim Hardaway and Bruce Brown (knee) are candidates to enter the Nuggets' starting lineup in Jones' absence.

Guerschon Yabusele
Ruled out Friday

Yabusele is dealing with a right quadriceps contusion and won't suit up Friday. The 30-year-old forward's next opportunity to play will come against the Trail Blazers on Sunday.

VJ Edgecombe
Returns Friday

Edgecombe left in the first quarter of Friday's game due to an apparent eye injury. He was evaluated by medical staff in the locker room but was cleared to return for the start of the second frame.

GG Jackson
Retreating to bench Friday

With Cedric Coward returning from a two-game absence due to a sprained ankle, Jackson will slide to the second unit. The 21-year-old forward has logged 21 or more minutes in four of his last five outings off the bench, during which he has averaged 8.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 20.6 minutes per tilt.

Branden Carlson
Starting Friday vs. Memphis

Carlson will draw the start Friday due to the absences of Chet Holmgren (lower leg), Isaiah Hartenstein (soleus) and Jaylin Williams (heel). It'll be Carlson's second start of the season, with his first taking place Dec. 22 against Memphis, when he logged 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 25 minutes.

Ajay Mitchell
Will start Friday

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) sidelined, Mitchell will get the starting nod for the first time since Dec. 7. In seven starts so far this season, the 23-year-old guard has averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals across 30.3 minutes per game.

Alex Caruso
Available to play

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (ankle) and Cason Wallace (toe) sitting out Friday's game, Caruso may see some extended minutes and he might have a larger role on offense. The nine-year veteran is averaging 6.0 points, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game this season.

VJ Edgecombe
Leaves for locker room Friday

Edgecombe was hit in the eye and exited the game with 3:01 remaining in the opening quarter. If the rookie is unable to return, Quentin Grimes and Jared McCain are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.

Zaccharie Risacher
Won't play Friday

With Risacher out, there will be more minutes available for Vit Krejci and Luke Kennard. Risacher's next chance to play will come Sunday against the Warriors.

Kristaps Porzingis
Not playing Friday

Porzingis was a late addition to Friday's injury report due to left Achilles tendinitis, and the injury will prevent him from playing in Friday's contest. Mouhamed Gueye is in line for more minutes off the bench in Porzingis' absence. Porzingis' next opportunity to play is Sunday against the Warriors.

Julian Champagnie
Questionable for Saturday

With Devin Vassell (adductor) missing the past five games, Champagnie has seen an increased role, starting and averaging 19.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes. However, now Champagnie may also miss Saturday's game, meaning minutes on the wing could be available for Keldon Johnson, Lindy Waters and others.

Terance Mann
Starting Friday vs. LAC

Mann appeared to be a healthy scratch for Wednesday's loss to Orlando, but he is back in the starting lineup for Friday's contest while Ziaire Williams comes off the bench. Mann has started in each of his 30 regular-season games, and over his last 10 appearances he has averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 0.9 steals over 26.3 minutes per contest.

Ziaire Williams
Sliding to bench Friday

With Terance Mann back in the starting lineup, Williams will retreat to the second unit. In 25 appearances off the bench so far this season, the 24-year-old swingman has averaged 9.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 22.0 minutes per tilt.

John Konchar
Won't play Friday

Konchar will miss his 14th consecutive game Friday. His next chance to play will come Sunday against the Nets.

Cedric Coward
Cleared to play vs. OKC

Coward has been given the green light to play Friday after missing the Grizzlies' last two games due to a sprained left ankle, and his return should result in GG Jackson reverting to a bench role. Coward entered Memphis' starting lineup permanently Nov. 15 against the Cavaliers, and in his 21 outings since he has averaged 13.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 threes over 26.7 minutes per game.

Lauri Markkanen
Ruled out for Saturday

Markkanen will get Saturday night off, and his next opportunity to play will come Monday against the Cavaliers. With the 28-year-old forward unavailable, Cody Williams, Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Anderson are candidates to see increased playing time.

Jusuf Nurkic
Questionable for Saturday

Nurkic sat out the second leg of a back-to-back set with the toe issue Thursday, which resulted in Kevin Love drawing the start and Kyle Anderson was able to get into the rotation. It'll be more of the same if Nurkic needs to miss Saturday's game, but we'll have a better idea on Nurkic's status based on his activity level at shootaround.

Ace Bailey
Not playing Saturday

Bailey will miss a second consecutive game while nursing a left hip flexor strain, the same injury which caused him to miss the Jazz's five games prior to their overtime loss to the Thunder on Wednesday. Bailey's next opportunity to play is Monday against the Cavaliers, though given how long he's been dealing with his injury, the Jazz could opt to play things cautiously with the rookie first-rounder. Brice Sensabaugh should continue to see additional playing time for as long as Bailey is sidelined.

Grant Williams
Probable for Saturday

After undergoing right knee surgery in December 2024, Williams is probable to make his season debut Saturday. The 27-year-old forward will likely face heavy restrictions whenever he's cleared to play. Still, Tidjane Salaun and PJ Hall are candidates to see fewer minutes once Williams returns to the lineup.

Tidjane Salaun
Likely to play Saturday

Salaun has now drawn four probable tags in a row, suggesting the sprain remains of minimal concern. It sounds like Grant Williams (knee) is primed to make his season debut, which could have an adverse effect on Salaun's playing time. Over his past five appearances, Salaun has averaged 5.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 17.2 minutes per while shooting 52.6 percent from the field.

Ryan Kalkbrenner
Probable for Saturday

Kalkbrenner is on track to return from a 10-game absence Saturday evening, so he'll likely have some minutes restrictions in his first game back. With Kalkbrenner back in the mix, there will be fewer minutes available for Moussa Diabate and PJ Hall. Check back for official word on Kalkbrenner's status closer to Saturday's tip.

Justin Champagnie
Joining second unit Friday

Kyshawn George (hip) is returning to action Friday, which is the likely cause for Champagnie falling into the second unit. Champagnie has averaged 11.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 steals in 23.9 minutes per tilt across his last eight games off the bench.

Bryce McGowens
Starting Friday

This will be the 10th start of the season for McGowens and he'll be joined in the first unit by Jeremiah Fears, Trey Murphy, Zion Williamson and Derik Queen. As a starter this season, McGowens has produced averages of 10.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 triples and 0.9 steals per game.

Karlo Matkovic
Reverting to bench Friday

Matkovic got the starting nod in Wednesday's loss to the Hawks but will retreat to the second unit Friday. The 24-year-old big man has averaged 5.0 points and 3.2 rebounds across 24 appearances off the bench so far this season.

Jordan Poole
Not starting Friday

With Trey Murphy (back) returning from a one-game absence, Poole will slide back to the second unit. In 14 appearances off the bench this season, the 26-year-old guard has averaged 15.2 points, 3.2 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per contest.

Bub Carrington
Retreating back to bench

The Wizards are moving the guard back to the second unit after Carrington started Wednesday's 131-110 loss to the 76ers. Carrington has averaged 10.4 points, 4.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 2.3 three-pointers in 23.7 minutes per contest across his last eight games off the bench.

Sandro Mamukelashvili
Starting Friday

Mamukelashvili is getting the start with Scottie Barnes (knee) unavailable, and the former will be joined in the first unit by Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Ja'Kobe Walter and Collin Murray-Boyles. Across seven starts this season, Mamukelashvili has averaged 15.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 dimes, 2.9 triples and 1.1 steals per game.

Noah Penda
Making first career start

Penda is getting the opportunity to fill the vacant spot opened up by the injured Tristan da Silva (back). Friday is set to be the first career start for the rookie second-rounder, who has averaged 5.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 16.9 minutes per tilt over his last 10 games.

Ja'Kobe Walter
Starting sans Ingram

With Brandon Ingram (thumb) unavailable, Walter will step into the starting five for the first time since Dec. 7. In seven starts so far this season, the second-year shooting guard has averaged 5.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals across 21.7 minutes per tilt.

Joel Embiid
Available to play

Embiid is good to go for his sixth consecutive game, and he'll look to build off Wednesday's 28-point performance. Make sure Embiid is active.

Vince Williams
Cleared to play vs. Thunder

A left knee injury has plagued Williams, keeping him out for nine of Memphis' last 10 contests, but he's got the green light for Friday. With Ja Morant (calf) out, Williams figures to see a relatively sizable workload. Williams has averaged 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.5 three-pointers in 19.4 minutes per contest across his last six games (two starts).

Kawhi Leonard
Cleared to play Friday

Leonard will shake off his questionable tag due to a right ankle sprain and suit up in the first leg of this back-to-back set. The star forward has been on a tear of late, averaging 32.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 blocks across 37.1 minutes per contest over his last 10 games.

P.J. Washington
Won't play Saturday

Saturday will mark Washington's third consecutive game on the inactive list, and it's not a great sign that he's getting ruled out 24 hours in advance of tipoff. For now, he should be considered doubtful for Monday's matchup with the Nets.

Brandon Williams
Ruled out with illness

Williams exited Thursday's loss to the Jazz early, and he's still not feeling well enough to play Saturday. His absence should vacate some playing time for Ryan Nembhard in the Dallas backcourt, and it's also possible D'Angelo Russell will rejoin the rotation for depth.

Trey Murphy
Good to go Friday

Murphy will shed his questionable tag due to back spasms after missing Wednesday's loss to the Hawks. The 25-year-old swingman has scored at least 21 points in four of his last five appearances, averaging 25.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists across 37.2 minutes per contest during that stretch. With Murphy back in action, fewer minutes will be available for the likes of Jordan Poole, Bryce McGowens and Micah Peavy.

Tristan da Silva
Out for Friday

With da Silva unavailable, Jett Howard could slot into the starting lineup and there will be more minutes available for Jonathan Isaac. Da Silva's next chance to play will come Sunday versus the Pelicans.

Will Riley
Recalled from G League

Riley joined Capital City for its last two wins over the Motor City Cruise on Wednesday and Friday, though he'll rejoin the Wizards for Friday's game against the Pelicans. Over his last five appearances with the parent club, the rookie first-rounder has averaged 6.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per tilt.

Day'Ron Sharpe
Reverting back to bench

The Nets have deployed Sharpe as a starter for three consecutive games, though the club plans to have Nic Claxton return to his usual role in the first unit Friday. Sharpe has averaged 8.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 17.1 minutes per tilt across his last 10 games off the bench, so he should be able to maintain a decent level of fantasy value from the second unit.

Nic Claxton
Starting Friday

Claxton operated under a minutes restriction off the bench in Wednesday's loss to Orlando following a two-game absence due to personal reasons, though he'll return to the starting five Friday. As a result, Day'Ron Sharpe will slide back to the second unit. Claxton has averaged 13.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks in 29.2 minutes per game over his last five starts.

Scottie Barnes
Won't play Friday

Brandon Ingram (thumb) will join Barnes on the sidelines Friday night, so Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett figure to see a massive uptick in usage, and there will be a ton of minutes available for guys like Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji and Collin Murray-Boyles. Barnes' next chance to play will come Sunday versus the 76ers, but that game will be the first of a back-to-back set.

Brandon Ingram
Won't play against Celtics

After leaving Wednesday's win in Charlotte, Ingram is out for the first time all year due to a right thumb sprain. The star forward can be labeled as day-to-day ahead of Sunday's matchup against the 76ers. With Scottie Barnes (knee) also out, Gradey Dick, Ja'Kobe Walter and Jamal Shead stand out as prime possibilities to jump into the starting lineup Friday.

Jalen Duren
Won't play Saturday

Duren will miss his fourth straight game due to a right ankle sprain, and his next opportunity to play won't come until Thursday's matchup against the Suns. With the 22-year-old center and Tobias Harris (hip) remaining sidelined, Paul Reed, Ronald Holland and Isaiah Stewart are candidates for increased playing time.

Cade Cunningham
Questionable for Saturday

Cunningham missed Wednesday's win over the Bulls with the wrist issue, which resulted in Jaden Ivey drawing the start with Daniss Jenkins logging extended minutes with the second unit. It'll be more of the same if Cunningham is out again Saturday, but we'll have a better idea of his status based on his activity level at shootaround.

Devin Vassell
Another absence coming

There's been no change in the status of Vassell, who is missing a sixth straight game Saturday. Sunday's tilt in Minnesota is his next chance to play. Julian Champagnie and Keldon Johnson should continue to see a boost in fantasy value while Vassell is on the mend.

Zaccharie Risacher
Late addition to injury report

Risacher was an extremely late addition to the injury report, which isn't a positive sign for his availability. The second-year forward will likely be a game-time call ahead of Friday's tipoff at 9:00 p.m. ET. If he isn't cleared to suit up, Vit Krejci and Luke Kennard could see increased playing time.

Andrew Nembhard
Questionable to face Miami

Nembhard is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive game due to lower-back soreness. If the 25-year-old point guard isn't cleared to suit up, T.J. McConnell, Quenton Jackson and Ben Sheppard are candidates for an uptick in minutes.

Isaiah Jackson
Absence streak to continue

Jackson's absence is extending to 10 games Saturday. Until he passes each step of the league's concussion protocol, Jay Huff should see the lion's share of the center minutes while Micah Potter and Tony Bradley compete for the backup role.

Dean Wade
Ruled out for Saturday

Wade has missed four of the past five games with this knee injury, and for now, he should be considered questionable at best for Monday's matchup with the Jazz. Jaylon Tyson, De'Andre Hunter and Nae'Qwan Tomlin will divvy up Wade's minutes.

Mike Conley
Sitting out Saturday

The expectation is that the veteran floor general will be available to return Sunday against the Spurs. Bones Hyland should see an uptick in playing time Saturday, and Rob Dillingham could also join the backcourt rotation.

Julius Randle
Iffy for Saturday

Randle is dealing with left thumb soreness and is in jeopardy of missing his first game of the season. If the star forward is ultimately ruled out, Naz Reid and Jaylen Clark are candidates for increased playing time. Randle has recorded three double-doubles over his last five games, during which he has averaged 21.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists across 31.4 minutes per contest.

Anthony Edwards
Another questionable tag

Edwards will carry a third straight questionable tag into Saturday's game. He's played through the last two questionable tags without issue, but Saturday's game is the front end of a back-to-back set. A maintenance day could be on the table for one of these two games.

Jase Richardson
Upgraded to available

Richardson is bothered by a sore left ankle, but he's still healthy enough to play Friday. With Jalen Suggs (knee) sidelined, the expectation is that Richardson and Tyus Jones will share the minutes as the backup point guards behind Anthony Black.

Zach Collins
Still out with toe sprain

The Bulls announced back on Dec. 31 that Collins would need to miss at least 10 days with the issue, and the team has yet to offer any additional details regarding the center's recovery. That said, it seems reasonable to deem Collins week-to-week as opposed to day-to-day until Chicago provides some clarity on his status.

Jalen Smith
Iffy for Saturday

Smith is attempting to pass each step of the league's concussion protocol in time to be eligible for action Saturday. If he cannot do so, Lachlan Olbrich would handle backup center duties behind Nikola Vucevic, as Zach Collins (toe) still isn't ready to play.

Kevin Huerter
Iffy for Saturday

Huerter remains day-to-day after being ruled out of Thursday's game against the Heat for the second leg of a back-to-back set. That game was ultimately postponed, however. If Huerter is unable to play Saturday, Ayo Dosunmu and Tre Jones could pick up some run for Chicago.

Anthony Davis
Could miss months

This is a brutal blow for Davis and for Dallas, as he was expected to be a prime trade deadline target. But now, depending on a second opinion and a possible need for surgery, Davis may be sidelined through the Feb. 5 trade deadline. More clarity on a timetable will likely be known in the coming days, but Davis' fantasy managers should be bracing for a lengthy absence. His absence will open up plenty of minutes in Dallas, and players such as P.J. Washington (ankle), Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin will be candidates to soak up some of them.

Jrue Holiday
Downgraded to out

The fact that Portland originally labeled Holiday as doubtful is a sign that the veteran floor general is inching closer to returning to the floor. With Holiday appearing to be day-to-day, Caleb Love remains worth streaming in the majority of fantasy leagues with a stable role in the Trail Blazers' backcourt.

LeBron James
Expected to play Friday

The Lakers anticipate that James will return from a one-game absence Friday. The superstar forward appears to be just about all the way back from the sciatica issue that caused him to miss the start of the season, averaging 25.6 points, 6.3 assists, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocks in 33.5 minutes per game over his last 12 outings.

Rui Hachimura
Out again Friday

Hachimura was able to get some practice reps in the G League on Wednesday, but he was unable to shake his questionable tag for this one. This will be his sixth straight game on the shelf, but it sounds like he'll have a good chance of returning Monday against the Kings.

Gary Payton
Available against Kings

Payton is ready to return from a one-game absence with a left ankle sprain. With De'Anthony Melton beginning to ramp up his workload after missing the onset of the season, Payton's minutes are likely to remain in the teens as opposed to the 20s, curbing the latter's fantasy value.

Corey Kispert
Ruled out Friday

Kispert's trade to Atlanta was finalized Friday morning, but he and CJ McCollum haven't joined the team yet. Presumably, both players will be ready to make their debuts Sunday against the Warriors.

Kristaps Porzingis
Late addition to injury report

Porzingis is a late addition to the injury report Friday, which tends to be an ominous sign. The star big man has come off the bench in four consecutive games, and his possible absence would open up more playing time for Mouhamed Gueye in the frontcourt rotation.

CJ McCollum
Won't play Friday

McCollum's trade to Atlanta was finalized Friday morning, but he and Corey Kispert haven't joined the team just yet. McCollum's next chance to debut for the Hawks will be Sunday against the Warriors.

Sean East
Adds 18 points off bench

East continues to be impactful as a scorer, recording the second-most points on the team while coming off the bench. The 26-year-old guard has scored in double figures in 17 of 21 games with the Stars, shooting 54.1 percent from the field and 40 percent from deep. He's averaging 18.5 points, 5.6 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 26.6 minutes per game while coming off the bench in every contest.

Amari Williams
Notches double-double vs. Stars

Williams filled the stat sheet in Thursday's win, posting his seventh double-double and 11th game with multiple blocked shots in G League action. The 23-year-old big man is averaging 14.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.8 blocks and 0.7 steals in 29.6 minutes per contest in 17 games with the Maine Celtics.

Spencer Jones
Downgraded to doubtful

The Nuggets previously considered Jones questionable, but now it sounds like the forward isn't going to be able to play Friday. Jones has been a full-time starter since Nov. 22, so it's likely that either Tim Hardaway or Bruce Brown (knee) will jump into the first unit against Atlanta.

Jamal Murray
Downgraded to questionable

Murray was previously considered probable with his nagging left ankle sprain, but now he's dealing with an illness on top of it. Presumably, a decision will likely be made after Murray goes through warmups. If he's unable to play, the Nuggets will likely lean on Jalen Pickett.

Naz Reid
Steady ways continue Thursday

Despite being stuck in a reserve role behind Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert for most of the season, Reid has managed to keep up a strong level of production across the board. Reid has averaged 15.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 blocks, 0.7 steals and 2.4 three-pointers in 27.1 minutes per contest in his last 14 games.

Evan Mobley
Tallies efficient 19 points

Mobley scored an efficient 19 points Thursday, but the four rebounds did tie a season low. Since returning from a calf strain, the star big man has averaged 14.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 blocks in 30.1 minutes per game over his last eight outings (six starts) while shooting 54.7 percent from the floor.

Isaiah Collier
Sees 18 minutes in win

With Keyonte George in the midst of a breakout season and with the Jazz looking to get Walter Clayton more involved, Collier hasn't been able to generate much fantasy appeal. Over his last four games, he's averaging 7.8 points, 6.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals on 59.1 percent shooting from the field in 22.0 minutes per contest.

Naji Marshall
Strong line in loss

Marshall continues to play a key role on both ends of the floor for Dallas. He's used to large workloads at this point, and they may be even safer if Anthony Davis misses time with the hand injury he suffered Thursday. Over his last three outings, Marshall has seen 33.9 minutes per contest.

Guerschon Yabusele
Added to injury report

It's a downgrade for Yabusele, who didn't appear on New York's initial injury report. His potential absence would result in a few extra minutes opening up for Mitchell Robinson as the backup center behind Karl-Anthony Towns.

Mouhamadou Gueye
All-around output Thursday

Gueye made his second start of the season and was held a couple of rebounds short of a double-double during the loss. Having converted on 55.4 percent of his attempts from the field throughout the campaign, the forward could be a decent scorer while adding occasional defensive stats if he retains a significant role in future contests.

Ja Morant
Available for trade

The writing has been on the wall for a while now, as injuries, off-court concerns and Memphis' poor start to the season have all increased the likelihood of a trade. Charania notes that multiple teams are already pursuing Morant in trade talks, and the Grizzlies are said to be prioritizing draft picks and young players in return. Morant is under contract through the 2027-28 season, however, and the Grizzlies are open to keeping him if the right deal doesn't surface.

Trae Young
Listed out for Friday

Though Washington's acquisition of Young became official earlier Friday, the star point guard won't be ready to make his Wizards debut while he continues to recover from a right quad bruise, which kept him sidelined for the Hawks' last seven games before he was traded. According to Michael Scotto of USA Today, the Wizards intend to take a cautious approach with Young as he recovers from the quad issue as well as a prior MCL sprain, so the 27-year-old could be at risk of missing additional time beyond Friday before he returns to the court.

Yuki Kawamura
Suffers lower leg setback

Kawamura became a two-way player for Chicago on Jan. 6 but was unable to make his G League season debut. He had already been inactive since mid-October and apparently failed to bounce back completely from his physical issue. Kawamura's exact recovery timeline is still unknown.

Joel Embiid
Upgraded to probable

Embiid was initially labeled as questionable. He's been in really good form lately, posting averages of 28.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 blocks over his last three games. Although he's expected to play Friday, it's worth noting the 76ers have a back-to-back set coming up Sunday and Monday.

MarJon Beauchamp
Scores 27 points in G League

Beauchamp continued to show his three-point shooting skills during another lengthy G League appearance. The 25-year-old has notched at least 21 points in each of his last eight games played for the Blue Coats. He's also available as a two-way option for Philadelphia but has yet to get involved in the NBA regular season.

D.J. Carton
Solid effort against Osceola

Carton had a fine performance despite the defeat, as he finished with the most points and assists in the game. The 30 points set a new season-high mark for him while increasing his average to 14.8 points per contest. He also tied his season-high count of three steals.

Herbert Jones
Won't play Friday

No surprise here, as Jones was previously listed as doubtful. Meanwhile, Trey Murphy (back, ankle) remains questionable. Guys like Jordan Poole, Bryce McGowens and Micah Peavy may see increased roles with Jones out of the mix.

Jaden Springer
Active off bench in return

Springer played for the first time since Dec. 30 following his recovery from back issues, but he wasn't ready to start yet. Prior to the injury, he had just recorded a season-high 31 points. However, he hasn't been very consistent throughout the season. His comeback threatens Trhae Mitchell's and D.J. Carton's starting roles for future matchups.

Svi Mykhailiuk
Drops out of rotation Thursday

Following a four-game run as a starter in which he played 20-plus minutes on each occasion, Mykhailiuk was left out of the rotation entirely while he moved to the bench and ceded his spot on the top unit to Cody Williams. Mykhailiuk has now failed to see any minutes on each of the three occasions that he hasn't started this season, and he could find himself out of the rotation on a more frequent basis now that Utah is nearly at full strength in the backcourt and on the wing. Ace Bailey (hip) sat out the second leg of the back-to-back set Thursday, but he'll likely be back in action Saturday against the Hornets and could eventually supplant Williams in the starting five while pushing Mykhailiuk further down the depth chart.

Johnny O'Neil
Back in action Thursday

O'Neil returned for a short outing after missing the previous game due to his knee injury. He's usually a bench option, so that should be his role now that he's healthy, offering an alternative to Hunter Dickinson at center.

Javonte Smart
Impactful off bench in win

Smart led his team in scoring despite serving as a second-unit option against the Squadron. The guard has been valuable in terms of offensive output lately, averaging 19.5 points per game over his last four appearances off the bench.

Michael Porter
Available for Friday

Porter was previously labeled as probable due to right knee soreness -- he banged knees with Wendell Carter on Wednesday. Brooklyn's star forward is averaging 28.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 4.8 three-pointers over his last four games.

Alex Morales
Secures double-double in victory

Morales posted a game-high total of rebounds, although he wasn't very efficient from the field in this contest. Still, his 13 points were enough for him to earn his fifth double-double of the season and third in his last four starts. His current form makes him one of the squad's most reliable assets for upcoming action.

Tyreke Key
Tallies 26 points Thursday

Key was one of his side's two scoring leaders during an efficient performance against the Boom. While it was the first time he surpassed 20 points in almost two months, Key had been a consistent shooter off the bench and finally took advantage of a starting opportunity Thursday.

Cody Martin
Productive in loss

Martin put in another all-around display, which was not enough for his team to stop a three-game losing streak. The versatile player has taken part in three contests since joining the Boom, averaging 18.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 blocks per game during that period.

Jalen Bridges
Leads offense against Stars

Bridges made his most three-pointers in a game since Dec. 19 during Thursday's game. The 23 points are his second-best total so far in the G League season, and he has scored double digits in three straight appearances. He'll look to remain successful with regular playing time going forward.

Scottie Barnes
Doubtful for Friday

Barnes was previously listed as questionable, but he was not seen at the morning shootaround. He's dealing with a knee sprain he suffered Wednesday against the Hornets, and it looks like the Raptors will err on the side of caution. Brandon Ingram (thumb) remains questionable, so players like Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji may be asked to step up.

Jay Huff
Swats three shots vs. Hornets

Huff has started the past two games after Micah Potter temporarily filled that spot in the first two games of the new year. The 28-year-old big man was perfect from the field on four attempts and added three blocks on the defensive end. Huff now leads the league with eight games this season of at least three blocks and two triples.

Ron Harper
Returns in G League win

Harper bounced back from his injury in time to play a starting role in Thursday's G League clash. Despite being signed as a two-way player for the Celtics, the 25-year-old forward has seen most of his playing time in the G League, where he's averaging 25.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game over the 2025-26 campaign.

Max Abmas
Scores 21 points in defeat

Abmas converted on his opportunities from the charity stripe to exceed 20 points for the second consecutive game. The guard filled in for the injured Elijah Harkless (hamstring), although it's still unclear how long that will be the case.

Moussa Diabate
Modest performance in loss

Diabate finished Thursday's loss to the Pacers with only five boards, his fewest since Dec. 20 and the only time he's been held below eight since entering the starting lineup Dec. 23. With Ryan Kalkbrenner (elbow) sidelined, Diabate has played at least 28 minutes in seven straight games and has been a strong source of rebounds, averaging 8.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 0.9 blocks in 32.3 minutes per game during that time.

Aaron Nesmith
Solid two-way performance in win

Nesmith has made 11 three-pointers over his last three games after going 3-for-7 from deep for the second straight game Thursday. The 26-year-old also notched his third game this season with at least one steal and a block. The Vanderbilt product should continue to see heavy minutes with Bennedict Mathurin (thumb) sidelined, and Nesmith is averaging 16.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 3.0 threes and 1.0 blocks in 32.8 minutes per contest through four games in January.

Cameron McGriff
Posts double-double Thursday

McGriff stood out on both ends of the floor, achieving his third double-double in the last four games. His recent move to the starting lineup has led to a significant increase in his rebounding, so he could be reliable in that category as long as he retains significant playing time.

Elijah Harkless
Misses G League game with injury

Harkless is a on a two-way deal with the Jazz and has been a standout performer for the Stars this season, averaging 23.5 points in 17 appearances. Max Abmas moved into the Stars' starting lineup in Harkless' place and could continue to benefit from extended run if Harkless misses future G League contests.

Miles Bridges
Scores 19 points vs. Pacers

Bridges delivered a solid stat line in Thursday's loss to Indiana, drilling three triples for the 18th game this season. The 27-year-old forward remains a steady producer for Charlotte, averaging the second most combined points, rebounds, and assists on the team, only behind LaMelo Ball. Through five games in January, Bridges is averaging 19.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.6 threes across 34.4 minutes per contest.

Malachi Smith
Records nine assists in loss

Smith led his side in assists and ranked third in scoring as he came close to a double-double during Thursday's game. His offensive numbers have remained in an upward trend over the last three games, with him earning a starting spot in the last two of those outings. Additionally, he has notched a few steals in each of his last four contests.

Dennis Smith
Out for personal reasons Thursday

Smith was a key player in the Herd's rotation in previous contests, and losing him reduced their guard options in the last game. It remains to be seen when Smith will be back in contention, but Stephen Thompson could get increased playing time in his place in case of a longer absence.

Kon Knueppel
Adds 18 points

Knueppel led the team in rebounds in Thursday's loss to the Pacers, grabbing eight boards for the second straight game. The rookie forward has scored in double figures in 33 of 37 games this season, including in 19 consecutive contests. Knueppel is averaging 19.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 three-pointers made over 31.4 minutes per contest through five games in January so far.

Kessler Edwards
Solid output in win

Edwards achieved a season-high scoring tally as his shooting effort helped the Gold to victory. In addition to the efficient performance, the forward posted multiple rebounds, assists and steals for the second straight game, although he fell short of his potential on the boards.

T.J. McConnell
Drops season-high 23 points in win

McConnell stuffed the stat sheet in Thursday's win over the Hornets, setting a season high in points and steals while matching his high-water mark for assists. The 33-year-old guard saw an uptick in minutes with Bennedict Mathurin (thumb) sidelined and put up his best performance of the season. McConnell is averaging 12.1 points, 5.7 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 19 minutes per contest in his last nine games.

Brandon Ingram
Game-time call Friday

Ingram, who is listed as questionable on the official injury report, was able to participate in the morning shootaround. Ingram is dealing with an injury to his shooting hand, so it will be interesting to see how he fares if he's given the green light to suit up.

RayJ Dennis
Logs double-double against Gold

Dennis continued to make a playmaking impact, reaching double digits in assists for the second time in the current G League competition. He also scored more than 25 points for the third time in his last three games. Dennis is a two-way player for Atlanta but has logged only four minutes of NBA play since December, offering more value for the G League team.

Cody Williams
Sees 22 minutes in start

Williams made his first start of the season with Ace Bailey and Jusuf Nurkic sitting out the second leg of this back-to-back set for maintenance. It's no secret that Williams has struggled in Utah, though Thursday's outing was a positive step in the right direction. Fantasy managers in deeper formats can monitor him from the waiver wire for now.

Kyle Anderson
Sees 26 minutes in win

With Ace Bailey and Jusuf Nurkic getting the night off for the second leg of this back-to-back set, Anderson made a rare appearance off the bench for Utah. He usually doesn't see the floor when the team is at full strength, however, so he can be ignored in standard formats for the time being.

Brice Sensabaugh
Fares well with starters

After falling out of the rotation early on this season, Sensabaugh is very much in the mix for Utah these days. He's started seven games in a row for the Jazz, posting averages of 11.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in that span. He's trending up as a potential waiver-wire add.

Ryan Nembhard
Quiet outing in loss

The Mavericks are rolling with Cooper Flagg as their starting point guard right now, and he seems a lot more ready for the role this time around. Nembhard has been trending in the wrong direction for a while now, and he's averaging just 5.0 points, 3.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 three-pointers in 17.1 minutes per contest over his last six games.

Javan Johnson
Active off bench Thursday

Johnson performed just above his season averages of 15.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in his return from a foot injury that prevented him from playing since Dec. 28. The forward was a consistent starter before suffering the blow, so he should be back in contention with Caleb Houstan and Kobe Johnson ahead of upcoming matchups.

Klay Thompson
Pours in 23 points

This was a strong showing for Thompson in what's been a very underwhelming campaign so far. The Mavericks dropped to 14-24 with this loss, and there's been speculation that Thompson could be acquired at the trade deadline if the franchise ends up pivoting towards a rebuild. As for the short term, Thompson may have more touches coming his way if Anthony Davis (hand) ends up missing time.

Terance Mann
Doesn't see floor

Mann, who has started every game he's been available for this season, was not utilized Wednesday in what appeared to be a coach's decision. The Nets may want to give other players a look, and it's possible Mann won't be in the rotation going forward.

Max Christie
Strong line in loss

Christie put together a strong showing for the Mavericks, but the team still dropped to 14-24 on the season. Christie is trending up with averages of 17.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.0 three-pointers over his last six games, and more touches may be coming his way if Anthony Davis (hand) ends up missing time after getting injured Thursday.

Erik Reynolds
Sidelined with leg issue

Reynolds has been a bench option lately, and he already dealt with a hip issue earlier in the season. While it's unclear how long he'll be inactive with the current injury, his absence is a blow to the team's depth, with Dwight Murray and RayJ Dennis remaining the top options in the guard spots.

E.J. Liddell
Won't play Friday

Liddell has been a prominent player for Long Island in the G League, but he has made just eight appearances at the NBA level this season, averaging 4.4 minutes per contest.

Carter Bryant
Sent to G League

Bryant has seen limited playing time off the bench in each of his last nine games for San Antonio, so he could find a more active role in the G League. The rookie's current season numbers with the NBA squad are 2.1 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 7.6 minutes per game.

David Roddy
Dominant in G League win

Roddy had a dominant all-around outing in the victory, as he led the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals in addition to shooting an efficient 55.0 percent from the field. Across 23 games played, the 6-foot-5 forward is currently averaging 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

Chaz Lanier
Assigned to G League

Lanier will go back to the G League team after racking up eight points, one rebound and one assist in 17 total minutes over his latest two appearances at the NBA level. When playing for the Cruise this season, he's usually a starter and is averaging 23.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.6 steals per contest.

Taelon Peter
Double-doubles in G League loss

Peter had a solid outing despite the loss, as he led the team in rebounds en route to compiling his first double-double of the campaign. However, the 23-year-old struggled shooting the ball, as he connected on just 20.0 percent from the field and 18.2 percent from beyond the arc. The two-way player has only seen limited playing time across his 21 outings in the NBA, and he should continue to see the majority of his usage in the G League.

Nate Williams
Productive in loss

Williams continues to produce offensively for Long Island, as he's now scored 20 or more points in three consecutive games and 11 times overall this season. The 26-year-old was also active defensively during the loss, recording a team-high five steals. Williams is now averaging 18.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.3 steals across 20 outings.

Victor Oladipo
Leading scorer off bench

Oladipo had a dominant outing in the victory, as his 25 points both led the Herd and served as a new season-high total for the 33-year-old. The 6-foot-3 guard was also efficient shooting the ball, converting 61.5 percent of his field-goal attempts and 80.0 percent of his three-point tries. However, Oladipo was careless with the ball at times, as he racked up a team-high six turnovers.

Lauri Markkanen
Erupts for 33 points

Markkanen was particularly effective down the stretch of Thursday's clash, adding 10 points in the fourth quarter to ensure victory. He's shouldered a heavy workload lately, averaging 39.0 minutes over his last five appearances, and he's taken advantage by putting up 28.2 points per game over that stretch.

Cooper Flagg
Narrowly misses first triple-double

Flagg certainly did his part in a tightly-contested matchup, recording double-digit rebounds for the first time since Dec. 18 while leading the team in scoring. This marks his fourth double-double through 37 appearances this season. Flagg got off to a slow start to January, totaling 22 points through his first two games, but he appears firmly back on track.

Anthony Davis
Fails to return

The severity of Davis' injury is not yet known after he checked out with 2:08 remaining in the fourth quarter in obvious pain. He can be considered day-to-day until the team has more information to share. Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin would be in line for more playing time if Davis is unable to go Saturday in Chicago.

Keyshawn Bryant
Makes G League season debut

After dropping at least 30 points in a pair of Basketball Super League contests, Bryant quickly caught the attention of the Windy City Bulls and made his G League season debut. A left knee injury had troubled the 26-year-old during his time with the San Diego Clippers a year ago, but Bryant is ready to contribute with his new squad.

Anthony Davis
Exits to locker room

Davis looked to be in pain down the stretch of the fourth quarter, resulting in a timeout by the Mavs. The big man was then spotted making his way to the locker room. It's unclear if Davis will be able to return for the final few minutes of play.

Mac McClung
Massive double-double Thursday

It was another standout showing by McClung, who scored at least 30 points in his second straight game and set a season high in dimes. The explosive guard has been a prolific performer since linking up with the Windy City Bulls in the G League, notching at least 20 points in 14 of his 18 appearances so far.

Sam Merrill
Provides spark off bench

Merrill reverted to a bench role Thursday after starting in each of the Cavaliers' prior two games, but he still gave his team a nice scoring punch and finished with the second-most points on Cleveland behind Donovan Mitchell (30). It was the fourth game in which Merrill scored 20-plus points in a game, and he tied a season high he has reached twice before. He has scored in double digits in seven of his last eight outings, and over that span he has averaged 15.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 4.0 threes and 0.9 steals over 27.3 minutes per game.

Anthony Edwards
Near double-double Thursday

Edwards was initially listed as questionable due to right foot injury management, but he was given the green light to play Thursday. While his foot may have bothered him during the win, it didn't prevent him from posting a season high in assists as he finished one dime shy from recording his second double-double of the season. In his 11 outings since returning from a three-game absence due to the same foot injury, Edwards has averaged 30.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 3.5 threes, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks over 35.6 minutes per game.

Malcolm Hill
Game-high 14 boards in return

Following a two-game absence due to an illness, Hill was back in action Thursday and pulled down a game-high 14 boards off the bench. The 30-year-old swingman had started all but two of his first 18 outings of the season, so it would make sense if Hill ended up re-entering the first five once he builds his conditioning back up.

Donte DiVincenzo
Nails six triples Thursday

DiVincenzo scored 17 of his 22 points across the second and third quarters and was one of four Timberwolves players to score 20-plus points during Thursday's win. It was his fifth game of 20-plus points on the season (and first since Dec. 12 against the Warriors), and his six three-pointers tied a season high that he set against the Nets on Nov. 3. DiVincenzo is averaging 13.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 threes and 1.3 steals over 31.3 minutes per game this season.

Kennedy Chandler
Double-doubles off bench in return

After missing Sunday's 130-94 victory over the Birmingham Squadron with a right ankle injury, Chandler came off the bench in his return but still led the team in dimes. The 23-year-old point guard had started each of his prior 20 games of the year, so it's likely that Chandler will rejoin the first unit once he becomes further removed from the issue.

Donovan Mitchell
Game-high 30 points in loss

Mitchell scored 19 of his 30 points in the second half of Thursday's loss, but it wasn't enough for the Cavaliers to come away with the road win. He has scored at least 30 points 21 times this season and in each of his last four outings. Mitchell is averaging 29.8 points, 5.5 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 threes and 1.5 steals over 33.9 minutes per game this season.

Jaden McDaniels
Efficient performance vs. Cleveland

Four of the Timberwolves' five starters scored at least 20 points during Thursday's win, with McDaniels finishing as the team's second-leading scorer behind Julius Randle (28 points). It was the ninth time this season that McDaniels scored 20 or more points, and he tied a season high with three triples. He has averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 threes and 2.3 steals over 31.9 minutes per game over four outings in January.

Julius Randle
Teases triple-double in win

Randle was one of four Minnesota starters to score at least 20 points and finished as the team's second-leading rebounder behind Rudy Gobert (13). Randle posted his 12th double-double of the season Thursday (fifth over his last seven outings), and he was two dimes shy from recording this third triple-double of the regular season. Through the first four games of January, he has averaged 22.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 threes over 31.5 minutes per game.

Brandon Williams
Won't return due to illness

Williams was also dealing with a bruised heel leading up to Thursday's game, but it's an illness that will end his night early. Jaden Hardy and D'Angelo Russell could see more opportunities in the second half with Williams sidelined.
