Washington sustained a minor head injury at the start of training camp, but he won't be required to miss time due to the injury. He's expected to return to the hardwood Friday and be a full go for the Mavericks' matchup with OKC on Monday.

He'll likely suit up for the Wisconsin Herd for the 2025-26 season.

Suffering a quadriceps injury this early isn't a great sign for Kleber, who maintained he was fully healthy during the team's Media Day earlier this week. It remains to be seen how severe this injury is and whether it'll impact his status for the preseason.
Melton is doing individual work at training camp, but he's set to miss at least the first handful of games to begin the regular season. Until the veteran guard is fully recovered from his ACL surgery, Brandin Podziemski and Buddy Hield should see more minutes in the backcourt. It's possible that Melton's absence will extend into November.
Vincent missed practice Tuesday because of a knee injury, but he appears to have swiftly moved past the issue. The veteran guard should be ready for the start of the preseason Friday against the Warriors. With the Wizards looking to fill out their roster for training camp, Gak will have a chance to claim a two-way roster spot this fall. The 23-year-old big man most recently appeared in the Las Vegas Summer League with Washington, averaging 4.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 16.8 minutes per game across three outings.
Tillman dealt with left knee issues throughout the 2024-25 campaign, resulting in playing in only 33 regular-season games. If he's able to stay healthy this season, there's a chance he could be in line for more minutes off the bench, sharing time with Sam Hauser, Chris Boucher, Luka Garza and Neemias Queta in the frontcourt.
Detroit's backcourt of Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey should handle the bulk of the playmaking duties this year, though it sounds like the Pistons want to utilize Thompson more frequently with the ball in his hands. Thomson holds plenty of nine-category fantasy upside in 2025-26, but he'll likely need to improve his free-throw shooting in order to become a more complete asset in those formats. Over 26 regular-season outings following last season's All-Star break, the 2023 first-rounder averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 blocks per game but shot just 69.8 percent from the charity stripe.
The severity of the issue is unknown, and Williams can be deemed day-to-day until the Bulls provide some more clarity. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old's status is in jeopardy for Tuesday's preseason opener against the Cavaliers. If Williams' setback carries into the preseason, Isaac Okoro and Kevin Huerter could see an uptick in playing time off the bench.
After undergoing offseason left ankle surgery, Finney-Smith still hasn't been cleared for contact and appears to be doubtful for Opening Night. The veteran forward should play meaningful minutes for the Rockets when healthy, so his absence should create more playing time for Tari Eason in the frontcourt. Jae'Sean Tate and Josh Okogie also have a chance to carve out a role in the early going.
Lakers coach J.J. Redick hasn't ruled James out from making an appearance in the preseason, but his goal is to have him ready for Opening Night. "It's probably a little bit longer of a ramp-up leading into Opening Night for him," Redick said of James. "Obviously, in Year 23, it's uncharted territory here." Redick added that James "probably did too much" in training camp last fall to show "buy-in" and ready himself and the team during Redick's maiden voyage as a head coach, so the team aims to take a slower process this time around.
Labissiere agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Wizards back on Aug. 19. However, the Wizards were simply looking to secure his G League rights. Look for the forward to suit up for the Capital City Go-Go this season.

Garcia is coming off a standout 2024-25 collegiate campaign with Minnesota. He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He's a long shot to make Detroit's final roster, but he could be a candidate to suit up for their G League affiliate.
Pedulla agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract back in June after a standout career with Ole Miss. The Trail Blazers secured his G League rights, however, so he's expected to join the Rip City Remix for the 2025-26 season.
Carr agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Trail Blazers back in late June. He was considered a long shot to make the team, however. Instead, Carr is expected to latch on with the Rip City Remix in the G League.
Flagler spent the 2024-25 season on a two-way contract with the Thunder, but the team didn't extend him a qualifying offer. He rarely saw the floor at the NBA level, and his chances of making San Antonio's final roster are slim. He's likely to end up in Austin with their G League affiliate.
Sharp, who agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract back on Sept. 10, is now set up to join the Texas Legends in the G League. Sharp could be among the league leaders in blocked shots per game with the Legends.
After being limited at Tuesday's session, Larsson got the day off Wednesday. Larsson suffered a left quadriceps contusion during his final game at EuroBasket with Sweden, and it sounds like the Heat are going to proceed with caution. Larsson's status for Saturday's preseason game versus Orlando appears iffy at best.
