Jerome was added to the injury report less than an hour before tipoff, though he was cleared to play after going through pregame warmups. The veteran guard has been spectacular through four regular-season games, averaging 29.8 points, 6.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 triples and 0.8 steals in 31.3 minutes per contest.
Jerome was added to the injury report less than one hour before tipoff, so it appears the back issue recently popped up. The team should have another update on his availability shortly.
Williams was initially added to the injury report as doubtful due to a left knee injury, so the fact that he's been ruled out is no surprise. Micah Potter and Yang Hansen could pick up a few additional minutes behind starter Donovan Clingan in Williams' absence.
Ighodaro hasn't played since Phoenix's regular-season opener due to a right oblique strain, though he's considered day-to-day ahead of Friday's contest. If the big man is cleared to return, Khaman Maluach and Duop Reath could see fewer minutes.
Carr has yet to make his NBA debut while tending to a right oblique strain. His next opportunity to take the court will arrive Sunday against Toronto.
Santos is expected to miss a second straight game while dealing with left knee tendinitis. If the 24-year-old forward remains sidelined, Georges Niang would likely continue seeing increased playing time.
Thiero has yet to appear in a regular-season game due to a left knee injury that he picked up during preseason action in early October. His next chance to play is Sunday against the Raptors, but it's unclear when the second-year pro will be cleared to make his 2026-27 debut.
Doncic was held out of Wednesday's game against the Clippers after logging 37 minutes in the first half of the back-to-back Tuesday. However, he'll be a full go for Friday's clash. The star guard has been on a tear to begin the 2026-27 season, averaging 36.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.3 steals in four regular-season appearances.
Williams started in each of the first four games of the regular season but was unable to play in Wednesday's 103-87 win over the Clippers due to a foot injury. Jake LaRavia would likely remain in the Lakers' starting five if Williams is not cleared to play Friday.
Diallo was held out of Wednesday's win over the Pelicans due to personal reasons, and he missed each of the two prior games while nursing a wrist injury. Bryce Hopkins and DeMar DeRozan would continue to see more playing time if Diallo is held out of Friday's contest.
The fact that Johnson has been upgraded to questionable is a sign he's nearing a return, as he was added to the injury report as doubtful ahead of Wednesday's clash before being downgraded to out ahead of tipoff. He hasn't been able to take the floor since suffering a right ankle sprain Oct. 22 against the Thunder.
Matkovic will make his first start of the 2026-27 campaign. DeAndre Jordan has drawn starts at center in each of the Pelicans' last two games for the injured Yves Missi (knee), but it'll be Matkovic who gets a look Thursday. He's had a limited impact off the bench through three games, averaging 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 11.7 minutes.
After starting the last two games, the veteran big man will slide to the second unit in favor of Karlo Matkovic. Jordan has yet to make an appearance off the bench this season, as he didn't see the floor in New Orleans' first two games.
Tyson was initially added to the injury report as questionable due to a neck strain, but the issue won't prevent him from taking the court Thursday evening. He's averaging 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 21.5 minutes in his first four appearances of the 2026-27 campaign.
Thomas will be sidelined for the second leg of the Cavaliers' back-to-back set while nursing a foot injury, and his next opportunity to play is Saturday against the Bucks. The rookie second-rounder averaged 19.5 minutes per game over his last two outings, and that playing time should be absorbed by Sam Merrill and Mario Hezonja.
Alvarado will miss a fourth straight game with a left ankle sprain, and it's not a positive sign that he's being ruled out a day before tipoff. He can be considered week-to-week until the Knicks offer an update on his status. Tyler Kolek will likely continue seeing increased burn in Alvarado's absence.
With Dejounte Murray (personal) unavailable, Jones will get the starting nod for the first time this season. He has yet to play 20-plus minutes in a game and is averaging 3.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 17.5 minutes per contest across four regular-season outings.
Murray is celebrating the birth of his son Thursday, making him a late scratch for Thursday's action. Herbert Jones will start in Murray's stead, per Eichenhofer, and Saddiq Bey could see an uptick in playing time as well.
Poole will miss the second leg of this back-to-back set after spraining his left ankle in Wednesday's loss to Denver. His next chance to play will come Saturday against Atlanta. In the meantime, Bennedict Mathurin and Herbert Jones are candidates for increased burn. With Dejounte Murray (personal) also out, AJ Johnson could enter the rotation.
Hachimura is in jeopardy of missing a second straight game due to left quad soreness. If the 28-year-old forward is ultimately ruled out, Kobe Sanders, Gradey Dick and Baba Miller would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes.
Ejiofor is back with the parent club to provide emergency depth at center Thursday. The St. John's product is unlikely to play a meaningful role, though.
Biberovic has yet to make his NBA debut and is unlikely to do so Friday due to right heel bursitis. However, his potential absence wouldn't affect the rotation.
Aldama appears to be making progress in his recovery from right knee surgery, though he's not expected to make his season debut Friday. His eventual return will leave fewer minutes available for guys like Caleb Martin and Moussa Cisse.
De Larrea remains sidelined with a knee sprain, which he suffered during Monday's win in Miami. His next chance to play comes Monday against the Kings.
Marshall has a chance to return from a two-game absence Friday. Fewer minutes would be open for Zaccharie Risacher off the bench if Marshall is able to return.
The journeyman floor general is in jeopardy of missing the first leg of this back-to-back set. With Coby White still nursing a hamstring strain, the Hornets would be down to rookie first-rounder Christian Anderson as their lone true point guard if Schroder winds up sitting out.
Walker will miss a third consecutive contest due to a left knee issue. His next opportunity to suit up will come Saturday at Charlotte in the second leg of this back-to-back set.
Brown is in danger of sitting out Friday's showdown with the defending champions, which is the front end of a back-to-back set. More pressure would fall on Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and LeBron James if Brown is out, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope would be the most likely choice to enter the starting lineup.
Johnson was a late scratch prior to Wednesday's loss to Cleveland due to right Achilles tightness and could remain on the inactive list Friday. His potential absence would leave additional minutes available for guys like Bilal Coulibaly, Bub Carrington and Will Riley.
Nembhard has been battling some lingering neck stiffness, though he's likely to play Friday. He's coming off an 18-point, 14-assist double-double in Wednesday's loss to Philadelphia and should continue taking on increased playmaking responsibilities in Tyrese Haliburton's (hamstring) stead.
The Pacers continue to monitor Nesmith's health while he works back from a hamstring injury. The sharpshooter has watched his minutes climb incrementally in each of his last three appearances, so it's possible Nesmith will be ready for a larger workload Friday.
The Pacers continue to view the veteran big man as day-to-day due to an ankle sprain. Jay Huff figures to continue to start at center for the Pacers on Friday, while Obi Toppin could see a larger share of the frontcourt minutes.
Fontecchio is still under the weather and could hit the inactive list for a second straight game. However, his potential absence wouldn't cause any significant waves in the rotation.
The combo guard is sitting out the front end of this back-to-back set. With Sheppard getting Friday night off, Tari Eason should be able to maintain a prominent role off the bench even if Alperen Sengun (back) returns to action.
Smart has missed three consecutive games due to a left forearm strain, but he could return to action Friday. The veteran guard last played Oct. 23 against San Antonio, and his potential return would provide Houston with additional backcourt depth. If Smart remains sidelined, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Bruce Thornton could continue seeing increased opportunities.
Sengun has a chance to return from a one-game absence with a back issue. If the star big man indeed gets back in the lineup, less playing time will be available for Tari Eason and Clint Capela.
Joe has missed Detroit's last two games due to a right hip contusion, but his questionable designation suggests he could return Friday. The 27-year-old guard has appeared in three games this season, averaging 7.3 points in 13.9 minutes per contest. If Joe remains sidelined, Kevin Huerter, Ronald Holland and Javonte Green could continue seeing additional opportunities off the bench.
Knox joined the Magic for training camp but didn't earn a spot on the Opening Night roster. He's now set to play overseas after spending the 2025-26 season in the G League.
Martin made his season debut Wednesday, delivering an efficient shooting performance while finishing as one of eight Mavericks players to score in double figures. The 31-year-old forward faces plenty of competition for minutes this season, and it's worth noting that Naji Marshall (illness), Sergio de Larrea (knee) and Santi Aldama (knee) were all unavailable Wednesday.
This move locks in Clingan's roster status for the 2027-28 season. He should continue operating as Portland's starting center going forward, though veteran Robert Williams poses a significant threat to Clingan's playing time.
Portland's decision keeps the 2025 first-round pick under contract through the 2027-28 campaign. The 7-foot-1 center remains a developmental piece in the Trail Blazers' frontcourt, where Donovan Clingan currently occupies the starting role. The transaction has no immediate impact on Hansen's fantasy outlook, as his value will depend on his ability to carve out a consistent role in Portland's rotation.
Williams is trending toward missing Thursday's matchup as Portland continues to manage his left knee. The veteran center's availability has been an ongoing concern in recent seasons, and the team appears to be exercising caution with his workload. If Williams is ruled out, Donovan Clingan could see additional minutes in the frontcourt.
Williams is looking to be available for his season debut Friday. The forward could test out the issue prior to Friday's contest before Chicago clarifies his status.
This is a new injury for Chicago's starting center, but he's considered day-to-day. If Smith is held out against Boston, the Bulls could lean more on Zach Collins.
Awaka continues to battle a left ankle sprain. The rookie big man could go through morning shootaround and pregame warmups before the Bulls update his status.
With Niederhauser still working back from a foot injury, this move is more about the Clippers' long-term roster planning than any immediate status change. It keeps the young center under team control beyond this season, which was the expectation after Los Angeles spent a first-round pick on Niederhauser a year ago.
Clarkson gave the Knicks a big lift off the bench on the second night of a back-to-back set, leading the second unit in scoring during this comeback victory. Wednesday was a season-best outing across the board for the veteran guard, who made a strong case to remain part of the rotation once Jose Alvarado recovers from an ankle sprain.
Kolek was something of an unsung hero off the bench during Wednesday's come-from-behind victory, handing out a team-high nine dimes. He should continue to handle the No. 2 point guard role for as long as Jose Alvarado is on the shelf with an ankle sprain.
Okoro is seeing meaningful run off the bench for the rebuilding Bulls, but he's not seeing the level of usage to command much streaming attention early on. He's been held to single figures in scoring in four of his first five appearances and has yet to bury multiple three-pointers in any of them.
Edwards underwent debridement surgery in Minnesota, though the team did not provide a timetable for his return. The star guard is expected to make a full recovery, with additional updates coming as he progresses through rehabilitation. Based on previous reporting from ESPN's Shams Charania, Edwards could miss up to two months. He was off to a scorching start this season, averaging 33.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals across four regular-season appearances.
Smith continues to hold down the fort at center while Nicolas Claxton tends to a hamstring injury. Over his first five appearances, Smith has averaged 13.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 23.4 minutes per game.
Isaac holds no timetable for a return due to an ongoing left knee injury. The oft-injured forward can be considered week-to-week until the Magic update his timeline.
Murray-Boyles provided an efficient offensive spark, connecting on two three-pointers while reaching double figures despite limited playing time. However, foul trouble restricted his involvement, as the second-year forward committed five personal fouls in just 15 minutes. His developing perimeter shooting is encouraging, but he will need a more consistent workload to become a dependable fantasy contributor.
Although the second-year sharpshooter hasn't been given an official timetable, this suggests that he's progressing toward a return. Knueppel will almost certainly be recalled shortly after practice, though an update on his progress may not be given immediately.
Although it's a small sample size, Murray appears to be all the way back from Achilles surgery that limited him during the prior two seasons. Through four appearances, Murray has averaged 17.8 points, 6.0 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 32.3 minutes per game.
Murphy scored a season-low six points Wednesday. Better days are ahead for the star forward, who just dropped 26 points against Denver on Oct. 24 and remains one of the focal points of the New Orleans offense alongside Dejounte Murray and Zion Williamson.
Battle struggled to find his shooting touch but supplemented his scoring with a pair of steals. The reserve forward received 20 minutes in the lopsided victory, though he failed to grab a rebound and attempted just four shots. His inconsistent offensive involvement limits his fantasy appeal despite his ability to stretch the floor.
Jackson-Davis made a significant impact defensively, leading Toronto in rebounding and setting a season high with two blocks. The big man benefited from Jakob Poeltl's foul trouble, as the starting center played just 10 minutes before fouling out. Jackson-Davis could offer useful rebounds and blocks in deeper fantasy formats if he continues earning meaningful minutes.
Carter attempted all six of his shots from beyond the arc, connecting twice while failing to register a rebound or defensive statistic. The veteran guard saw a reasonable amount of playing time off the bench but struggled to make a meaningful impact. His fantasy appeal remains limited to deeper formats where three-point shooting is at a premium, even with Paolo Banchero (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (knee) sidelined indefinitely.
Beringer pulled down a season-high 10 rebounds Wednesday. Now that Naz Reid is in Charlotte, Beringer carries plenty of contingent upside as the No. 2 center behind Rudy Gobert but doesn't hold particularly stable standalone value outside of boards.
The veteran big man failed to capitalize on the extra opportunity left behind by Anthony Edwards (knee), who is set to miss multiple weeks. Even so, Gobert should find himself being more involved in the Minnesota offense for the foreseeable future.
Cain made the most of his opportunities at the charity stripe, converting all five attempts while contributing a pair of steals. However, the reserve forward struggled from the field and offered little production elsewhere. His limited playing time makes him a difficult fantasy option outside of deeper leagues.
Mobley delivered a standout performance from beyond the arc, knocking down a career-high five three-pointers while leading Cleveland in scoring and rebounding. He scored 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Cavaliers erased a double-digit deficit and secured their third consecutive victory. The increased perimeter production adds another layer to Mobley's already impressive fantasy profile, particularly if he continues looking for opportunities from deep.
The Mavericks continue to bring the rookie first-rounder along slowly after Johnson missed the start of training camp. Until his restrictions are loosened, Johnson's fantasy upside will remain capped.
Davis contributed across the board despite an uneven shooting performance, finishing with three combined steals and blocks while committing no turnovers. The veteran big man also connected on two three-pointers, adding another dimension to his offensive production. Although his rebounding total was modest, his ability to contribute in multiple categories continues to make him a valuable fantasy asset.
Sarr made an impact on both ends of the floor, shooting efficiently while complementing his scoring output with five combined steals and blocks. The third-year center was particularly active defensively, leading all players with four steals despite playing fewer than 30 minutes. His combination of defensive production and developing perimeter game gives him considerable upside in category-based fantasy formats.
It took both Luka Doncic (back) and Ziaire Williams (foot) being sidelined to get Hardy into the mix, but he failed to make a case for more playing time in the future. Hardy figures to revert to emergency backcourt depth once Doncic and Williams return.
Vanderbilt made his season debut, bringing some defensive energy off the bench. Once Luka Doncic (back) and Ziaire Williams (foot) return to action, Vanderbilt is expected to fall back into obscurity.
Tchewa arrives in the G League with the aim of fulfilling his potential as a physical presence near the basket. The 7-foot center previously averaged 7.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game at Georgia in the 2023-24 NCAA season.
Sensabaugh helped pick up the slack left behind by Lauri Markkanen (wrist) and Jaren Jackson (knee) on Wednesday. Sensabaugh should continue playing the backup role at shooting guard, provided rookie first-rounder Darryn Peterson hangs onto a starting job.
Even with Alperen Sengun sitting out with a back issue, Durant didn't see a noticeable boost. The 38-year-old Durant has looked spry in the early going, putting up at least 18 points, four rebounds and two assists in each of his first five appearances.
Tshiebwe helped fill the void at center left behind by Alperen Sengun (back) on Wednesday. A two-way player, Tshiebwe is likely to head to the G League's Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the coming weeks.
Burries has reached double digits in scoring in three of his first five appearances. The rookie first-rounder is seeing consistent action for the rebuilding Bucks, logging at least 16 minutes in four games so far.
Bone is one of the draft's most experienced professional guards, having previously played for the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic at the NBA level. Additionally, Bone is no stranger to the G League, as he has represented the Wisconsin Herd and the Delaware Blue Coats in past stints. While his output may come mostly from points and assists, his experience should be useful for the Squadron throughout the 2026-27 campaign.
Oubre provided efficient secondary scoring for Indiana, reaching double figures while shooting 50 percent from the field. The veteran wing logged 30 minutes and finished as one of five Pacers to score at least 13 points. His playing time gives him opportunities to contribute in multiple categories, though his modest rebounding and defensive production limited his overall fantasy impact Wednesday.
James took a backseat as a scorer but orchestrated Philadelphia's offense effectively, recording a game-high 10 assists without committing a turnover. The veteran forward also made his presence felt defensively with three combined steals and blocks. Even with several established scoring options alongside him, James continues to offer substantial fantasy value through his playmaking and versatility.
Brown delivered an efficient scoring performance while making a substantial impact on the glass, collecting four offensive rebounds. He also contributed a steal and a block, though his five turnovers were a blemish on an otherwise productive outing. Brown's ability to complement Philadelphia's other scoring threats with strong rebounding should help sustain his fantasy value.
While the rookie first-rounder's playing time may have been slightly inflated by Wednesday's blowout, it's encouraging to see the rebuilding Bucks already place an emphasis on getting Ament on the floor in some capacity. It's worth mentioning that veterans Caris LeVert and Gary Trent have yet to take the court for Milwaukee this season.
Maxey took over down the stretch, scoring 17 points in the fourth quarter and knocking down two three-pointers in the final 90 seconds to help Philadelphia secure the comeback victory. The dynamic guard led the 76ers in scoring and continued to shoulder a significant offensive workload despite sharing the floor with several established stars. His combination of scoring volume, perimeter shooting and heavy minutes makes him a dependable fantasy option.
Miller saw some garbage-time action on a night when none of the Clippers' starters reached the 30-minute mark. The rookie second-rounder could carve out a larger role in the frontcourt at some point down the line, but Isaiah Jackson and Brook Lopez should dominate the center minutes for the foreseeable future.
Thirdkill will add depth in the forward rotation to a Blue Coats side that could benefit from his ability to rack up defensive rebounds. His final year in Jacksonville showed a steady upward trend, as he finished with averages of 8.6 points and 6.8 boards per game over his last 15 appearances.
Alexander-Walker was one of Atlanta's primary offensive contributors, matching Kingston Flemings for the team lead in scoring while connecting on five three-pointers. The veteran guard accounted for nearly a third of the Hawks' made triples, providing a valuable boost in points and perimeter shooting. His substantial playing time and willingness to fire from deep give him fantasy appeal, particularly in formats that reward three-point production.
Hardaway provided an efficient scoring punch off the bench, connecting on six of his 10 attempts while adding an unexpected pair of blocks. The veteran sharpshooter has a defined role as a perimeter scoring option for Miami, though his contributions outside of points and three-pointers are typically limited. His fantasy value is strongest in deeper leagues that need additional scoring and perimeter shooting.
Portis made his presence felt across several categories despite struggling from beyond the arc. The veteran forward finished one rebound shy of a double-double while contributing three defensive statistics, making this a productive outing in limited minutes. His ability to provide rebounding and complementary scoring off the bench should help maintain his fantasy appeal, though Miami's crowded frontcourt could limit his ceiling.
Collins endured a rough shooting performance, missing all three attempts from beyond the arc while failing to contribute any assists or defensive statistics. The veteran forward also committed four personal fouls, which contributed to his limited playing time. His lack of production is concerning for fantasy managers, particularly if his minutes remain inconsistent.
Kalkbrenner played a limited role off the bench, attempting no field goals while contributing modest defensive production. Moussa Diabate handled the bulk of the minutes at center, logging 35 minutes compared to Kalkbrenner's 13. The second-year big man's restricted workload makes him difficult to trust in standard fantasy formats, though his shot-blocking ability could provide some value in deeper leagues.
Dinkins looks set to make his G League debut as his selection strengthens his new team's guard depth. The 25-year-old saw most of his action off the bench during his last college year at George Washington, which led to stretches of inconsistency, but he reached double-digit scoring totals in 11 of 35 games played.
Thomas ranked among Cincinnati's most productive players with averages of 11.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest over the 2025-26 NCAA season. He'll look to make an all-around impact if he adapts quickly to the G League Raptors' system.
Brooklyn will retain Saraf for another season as the young guard continues his development. The decision reflects the organization's commitment to evaluating its recent draft investments, though it doesn't signal any immediate change in his playing time. Saraf will need to establish a consistent rotation role before becoming a reliable fantasy contributor.
This decision is merely a formality, with the second-year first-rounder already playing a key role for the rebuilding Nets. He's logged at least 24 minutes in back-to-back games.
Powell remains part of Brooklyn's long-term plans as the organization continues developing its young talent. The second-year wing will have additional time to establish himself at the NBA level, though the contract decision doesn't guarantee a larger rotation role. His fantasy value remains limited without consistent playing time.
Brooklyn's decision keeps Demin under contract through the 2027-28 campaign as the organization continues investing in its young backcourt. The move provides additional long-term stability but doesn't directly impact his immediate fantasy outlook. Demin is currently dealing with a right leg bone bruise and is scheduled to be re-evaluated in one week.
This is an expected transaction for the 2025 first-rounder. The hope is that Wolf will eventually become a key rotation piece for the Nets as he continues to develop.
Thomas is at risk of sitting out the second leg of this back-to-back set. Sam Merrill and Mario Hezonja could get on the streaming radar Thursday, especially if Jaylon Tyson (neck) is sidelined.
Porter failed to make the Grizzlies' roster after he recorded only a few appearances during the NBA Summer League in July, and he completed a move to the G League for the 2026-27 season. The guard showed promising ball-handling talent in his college career at Clemson and could be an interesting asset for College Park. Over his final NCAA year, he averaged 9.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
Tyson was a late addition to the injury report due to a cervical strain. He's played a modest role with the second unit to open the season, averaging 9.0 points, 3.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 21.5 minutes per game.
The Clippers were granted a hardship exception due to injuries. Wesley was with the Clippers for training camp but failed to make the roster ahead of Opening Night. He'll provide emergency depth in the short term.
Spears is a 6-foot-3 guard out of UTSA who recently spent time at Ostioneros de Guaymas in the Mexican CIBACOPA. During that international adventure, he stood out as an offensive contributor, averaging 16.3 points, 1.9 three-pointers and 4.3 assists per game while posting at least 20 points in 13 of his 34 outings.
Poole appears likely to miss the second leg of this back-to-back set. The veteran left Wednesday's game against Denver after just seven minutes and failed to return. His absence could open things up a bit for Bennedict Mathurin.
Olowokere boasts experience both in college with Central Arkansas and in Spain from his time at Biele ISB. In his final collegiate season in 2023-24, the forward averaged 8.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. He'll look to improve on those numbers, though his short-term role is not clearly defined as he enters a new stage of his career at the G League level.
Demin appears likely to miss multiple games while recovering from the injury, though Brooklyn has yet to establish a definitive timetable for his return. His absence could open additional backcourt minutes for the Nets' remaining guards. A clearer picture of his availability should emerge following next week's re-evaluation.
Lowery gives Maine another forward option after they also selected Josh Roberts with their initial pick. After averaging 4.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game at Nevada in the 2025-26 NCAA season, Lowery will hope to emerge as a versatile performer while he contends for a chance to showcase his skills at a level just below elite basketball.
Pierre is coming off a college campaign in which he featured as a regular starter across 35 games for TCU, averaging 10.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.0 steals per contest. His combination of scoring and distribution ability points to a guard who can contribute in several ways. However, it's unclear if he'll see consistent action, and his main challenge will be making opportunities count against professional defenders.
Fields heads into his first G League season as a prospect from Milwaukee, where he averaged 6.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game over 21 appearances in 2025-26, shooting 60.8 percent from the field. While his shooting efficiency is shaping up to be his greatest strength, he could also produce on the boards if he finds a place in the rotation.
The Nets briefly recalled Powell on Wednesday, only to assign him back to Long Island following practice. He's expected to shuffle back and forth between the two teams quite often.
Wolf will rejoin Brooklyn following a brief stint with Long Island, though the move doesn't necessarily indicate an increased role in the NBA rotation. The second-year big man will look to earn additional playing time, but his immediate fantasy appeal remains limited without a consistent workload.
Ejiofor will continue to shuffle back and forth between the two squads. He's currently miles off the fantasy radar.
Hansen will rejoin Portland after spending time with its G League affiliate. The young center has yet to establish a consistent role in the Trail Blazers' rotation, and his immediate fantasy value remains limited.
The extended absence represents a significant setback for Leonard, who will be unavailable for the foreseeable future. His absence should create additional offensive opportunities for Toronto's remaining rotation players, with guys like RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Allen Graves seeing more usage. Ja'Kobe Walter has started the first two games in Leonard's absence, but that may be fluid depending on opponents and matchups. Leonard's recovery timeline will be worth monitoring, as the reported window represents a minimum absence rather than a firm return date.
Bailey was efficient inside the arc, converting eight of his 12 two-point attempts, though his perimeter shooting remained inconsistent. The second-year forward played a team-high 39 minutes, giving him ample opportunities to contribute offensively and on the glass. His substantial workload is encouraging for fantasy purposes, but improved three-point efficiency and more consistent contributions in other categories would strengthen his overall value.
Peterson struggled to find his rhythm from the field but compensated with three triples and a perfect showing at the charity stripe. The rookie displayed his scoring potential despite playing considerably fewer minutes than fellow starters Keyonte George and Ace Bailey. Peterson's perimeter shooting and ability to draw fouls should help support his fantasy value as he develops.
George carried a substantial offensive workload, leading Utah in scoring while knocking down five three-pointers. Although he struggled with efficiency inside the arc and committed five turnovers, his willingness to shoulder significant scoring responsibilities remains promising for fantasy managers. His combination of scoring volume and perimeter shooting gives him considerable upside.
Hayes struggled to contribute offensively but made an impact on the glass and defensively, collecting three offensive rebounds while registering multiple blocks. The 37-minute workload was particularly encouraging, though limited scoring opportunities could make consistent fantasy production difficult. His rebounding and shot-blocking provide some value in deeper formats.
Green attempted just three shots but remained productive as a rebounder, facilitator and defensive presence. His nine boards and six assists helped offset the minimal scoring contribution, while two blocks added further fantasy value. Green's limited offensive involvement continues to restrict his scoring ceiling, but his consistent playing time and ability to contribute across multiple categories make him a useful option in category-based formats.
McDaniels attempted 18 shots, reflecting increased offensive involvement with Anthony Edwards (knee) unavailable. However, McDaniels connected on just one of eight three-point attempts and recorded no steals or blocks, limiting his overall fantasy production. His seven rebounds and four assists were encouraging, and the additional scoring opportunities could boost his value as Minnesota adjusts to Edwards' absence. McDaniels hasn't recorded a steal in four games and has just five blocks in five contests. Still, he's averaging 15.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
Kuminga stepped into a bigger offensive role with Anthony Edwards (knee) sidelined, leading Minnesota in scoring while adding five assists without a turnover. His three triples and two steals added valuable fantasy production, making this one of his most balanced performances of the season. Kuminga could see increased scoring opportunities during Edwards' absence, which should raise his fantasy ceiling considerably.
Ball endured another inefficient shooting performance, converting just 27.3 percent of his field-goal attempts while committing six turnovers. His eight assists provided some fantasy value, but his scoring struggles were particularly concerning, as he should take on a bigger role offensively with Anthony Edwards (knee) sidelined for several weeks. Even though his shooting efficiency and turnover problems remain significant concerns, Ball should still have a ton of upside with Edwards out. However, the former will need to snap out of his funk after failing to clear the 15-point mark in each of his previous four appearances.
Williams reached double figures despite playing fewer than 15 minutes, demonstrating an aggressive offensive approach with 11 field-goal attempts. His reserve role remains the main obstacle to consistent production, but he could be a decent waiver pickup if he gets an expanded role. Williams has scored in double digits in three of his five appearances this season despite shooting 34.1 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from deep.
Lendeborg has surpassed even the most optimistic expectations early in the season, scoring at least 25 points in three straight games. His 20 field-goal attempts and 35-minute workload were particularly encouraging, highlighting his growing role in Golden State's offense as the No. 2 option behind Stephen Curry, who scored 44 points in this win. Lendeborg's scoring and rebounding potential give him considerable fantasy upside, and he's averaging a robust 22.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and a combined 1.6 steals-plus-blocks in his first five appearances.
Queen delivered valuable rebounding production in a reserve role, reaching double digits in points for the fourth consecutive game while notching his second double-double of the campaign. Queen is averaging 12.5 points and 9.3 boards per game despite not starting in any of his four appearances this season, so he should remain a valuable fantasy contributor regardless of whether he starts or not. He's also been remarkably efficient.
Fears is enduring a rough start to the season, with this 11-point outing being his best scoring output of the campaign so far. Through four contests, the second-year floor general is averaging just 9.0 points per game while shooting a dismal 31.1 percent from the floor and 18.8 percent from three-point range.
Harper struggled with his shot, connecting on just four of 17 field-goal attempts, but compensated with a season-high eight assists. The second-year guard has started all five games this season and has scored at least 13 points in each contest. Harper's 37 minutes marked a season high, and his growing playmaking contributions are encouraging for his fantasy outlook.
Castle delivered a well-rounded performance, finishing two assists shy of a double-double while contributing three combined steals and blocks. The third-year guard played 38 minutes and continued to showcase his versatility as a scorer, facilitator and defender. His ability to contribute across multiple categories makes him a valuable fantasy option even when his scoring output is modest.
Williamson was New Orleans' most efficient offensive contributor again and made his presence felt in a big way. The star forward has enjoyed an excellent start to the season and has surpassed the 20-point mark in three of his first four outings while recording multiple assists and steals each time. His rebounding numbers could use an uptick, but nonetheless, it's been a strong start to the campaign for Williamson, with averages of 21.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game while shooting 60.4 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from deep.
Wembanyama delivered a dominant all-around performance, recording his second straight double-double while connecting on four three-pointers. The superstar big man also contributed five combined steals and blocks without committing a turnover despite his substantial offensive workload. Wembanyama continues to provide elite fantasy production across virtually every category.
Vassell overcame a slow start, scoring 17 of his 21 points after halftime to help San Antonio erase an 11-point deficit. Although he struggled from beyond the arc, the veteran wing contributed three steals while logging a season-high 38 minutes. His substantial playing time and scoring involvement remain encouraging for his fantasy outlook.
Braun matched his previous season-high scoring mark and delivered multiple steals for the third straight game. The main issue with Braun early in the season has been a lack of consistency. He's failed to hit double-digit points in two of his four games, and while he had a strong defensive outing in this one, he also failed to record a single rebound. His playing time and steady role as a starter will give him a decent floor, but the lack of consistency hurts his upside.
Gordon compensated for a difficult shooting performance by collecting 11 rebounds and converting seven free throws. His double-double was encouraging, particularly after struggling to establish consistent rebounding production earlier in the season. Gordon's ability to contribute on the glass and from the perimeter gives him useful fantasy versatility, although his scoring remains dependent on opportunities alongside Denver's primary offensive options. This was his first double-double of the season and just the second time he has scored in double digits, so the next step is to show more consistency on a game-to-game basis.
Murray led Denver in scoring and extended his impressive start to the season as a reliable go-to threat alongside Nikola Jokic. Murray was limited to six points in the season-opening loss to the Thunder on Oct. 22, but he's averaged 28.0 points per game while shooting 48.5 percent from three-point range in three games since.
The rookie guard led the Clippers in scoring on the night as he topped 20 points for the first time. The fifth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Wagler is doing most of his damage from three-point range so far, averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 boards, 3.5 assists and 2.3 threes in four games while shooting 39.1 percent from beyond the arc, but just 31.6 percent overall from the floor.
The 15 points led the depleted Clippers' starting five on the night, while the steals and blocks were season highs for Jones. The veteran forward is seeing a little more usage than usual in the early going, and through four games, he's averaging 12.5 points, 5.3 boards, 2.5 threes, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting 57.6 percent from the floor and a sizzling 55.6 percent (10-for-18) from long distance.
With Luka Doncic (back) and Ziaire Williams (foot) in street clothes, Mamukelashvili saw his biggest workload of the season and delivered solid numbers. The eight boards were a season high, and through five games (all off the bench), the journeyman big is averaging 10.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 threes and 1.4 combined steals and blocks in 24.2 minutes, shooting 51.4 percent from the floor.
The 21 points were a season high for Sexton, who remained on the second unit even with Luka Doncic (back) held out of the lineup. Instead, Quentin Grimes moved into the starting five. Through four games this season, all off the bench, Sexton has averaged 12.0 points, 2.3 assists, 2.0 boards, 1.5 threes and 0.8 steals in 17.8 minutes.
While LaRavia left the scoring to others, the fifth-year forward helped generate extra possessions for the Lakers with his showing on defense, as well as five offensive rebounds. It's the first time LaRavia pulled down double-digit boards since Dec. 20 of last season, also against the Clippers. If Ziaire Williams (foot) misses additional time, LaRavia could remain in the starting five in the short term, but even with a larger workload, he's got limited fantasy appeal.
Without Luka Doncic (back) in the lineup, the Lakers went with a balanced approach on offense, and Reaves was one of four players in purple and gold to score 15 or more points. It was the first time this season the 28-year-old guard failed to deliver 20-plus, and through five games, Reaves is averaging 24.4 points, 5.4 assists, 3.4 boards, 2.6 threes and 1.2 steals while shooting what would be a career-best 56.9 percent from the floor and 48.1 percent from beyond the arc.
The 11 boards led Dallas on the night, although Gafford didn't see enough offensive opportunities to produce his first double-double of the season. The 28-year-old center hasn't seen a significant increase in his workload to begin the season even with Dereck Lively (foot) and Santi Aldama (knee) still waiting to make their 2026-27 debuts. In 22.4 minutes over five games, Gafford is averaging 6.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals while shooting 65.2 percent from the floor. Wednesday's three-pointer was also the first of his career, and his second-ever attempt from beyond the arc. The other came in 2021-22, when he was playing for the Wizards.
The veteran forward fell one board short of his second double-double of the season. Washington has been his usual steady self through five games, scoring in double digits in all five games while averaging 16.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 33.4 minutes.
It was the third straight double-double for Hartenstein, who's been handling a bigger role in the frontcourt while Chet Holmgren (knee) is on the mend. Hartenstein produced 28 double-doubles in 57 regular-season games during his first campaign with the Thunder in 2024-25, but that number fell to 11 in 47 regular-season contests last season.
Aside from Gilgeous-Alexander and Ajay Mitchell's game-high 29 points, no other OKC player managed to score more than 10 points. Gilgeous-Alexander is struggling to find his shot for the injury-ravaged Thunder, and through five games, he's delivered what would be career-low percentages, shooting just 45.9 percent from the floor and 26.5 percent from three-point range. The depleted roster around him is also costing him in other categories. Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged more than 5.0 assists in six straight seasons, but so far in 2026-27, he's managed just 3.4 per game.
Making his second straight start for the injury-depleted Thunder, Mitchell led all scorers on the night, but only one other OKC player was able to top 10 points. The 24-year-old wing should continue to see big minutes and usage while Jalen Williams (leg), Cason Wallace (shoulder) and Alex Caruso (ankle) are all sidelined. Over his two starts, Mitchell has averaged 29.5 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 boards, 1.5 threes, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 26.5 minutes.
Slawson played double-digit minutes for the second time this season, providing serviceable defensive contributions. Indiana is without both Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) and Ivica Zubac (ankle), meaning there are minutes up for grabs. Should Slawson manage to carve out a 20-minute per-night role for himself, he could make sense as a defensive streamer, even in standard formats.
Huff remained in the starting lineup, although he saw just 16 minutes of playing time. With Ivica Zubac sidelined due to an ankle injury, Huff seemingly has the starting center spot locked up. However, as we saw Wednesday, that does not mean he is going to play starter-level minutes, much like we saw last season. He can be considered in standard leagues, although his upside is completely tied to his blocks, something he has failed to do in three of his four games thus far.
Nesmith logged a season-high 27 minutes, an encouraging sign after being limited to roughly 20 minutes per game through his first three appearances. The additional playing time led to increased production, something he is going to have to do more of after Tyrese Haliburton was earlier ruled out for at least two weeks due to a hamstring injury. While Nesmith doesn't have the highest ceiling, he is worth considering in standard leagues, at least until Haliburton is cleared to return.
Embiid continued his strong start to the season, recording his third double-double in four appearances. He has been a borderline top-50 player thus far, averaging 21.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.8 combined steals and blocks. However, while the production has been fantastic, the fact that he has averaged 35.8 minutes per game could be cause for concern moving forward. He played 39 minutes in Wednesday's win, barely leaving the floor during the second half. If you have reservations when it comes to his long-term availability, now might be a good time to try and execute a sell-high.
Coming off his best performance of the season, Bona barely touched the floor Wednesday, logging just four minutes. With Joel Embiid back in the rotation, Bona's role basically evaporated. Outside of his 25-minute effort against the Pistons on Sunday, Bona has averaged just 0.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in four appearances. He should only be viewed as a potential streaming candidate, if and when Embiid is missing.
Simons produced his best game of the season, scoring 20 points, including six triples. It appears as though Nick Nurse is comfortable running a shallow rotation, meaning Simons should at least be playing meaningful minutes on most nights. While this was certainly a strong performance, he had scored a total of just 11 points in his previous three games.
Merrill logged a season-low 20 minutes, scoring in single digits for the fourth straight game. After averaging 26.5 minutes per game during the 2025-26 season, an increase in playing time this season feels unlikely at this stage. Those in standard leagues should view him as nothing more than a potential three-point streaming option.
Thomas logged at least 19 minutes for the second straight game, continuing to prove his worth on the biggest stage. After missing the first two games of the season, Thomas has seemingly moved ahead of Craig Porter in the rotation. Thomas, Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson all played roughly 20 minutes Wednesday. Thomas isn't doing quite enough to be rostered in standard leagues, but he should certainly be on the radar moving forward, just in case his role continues to develop.
Watson continues to find his way in Cleveland, scoring a season-high 22 points while adding another blocked shot. Through four games, he has averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.8 three-pointers and 3.3 combined steals and blocks. Assuming anyone who drafted him did so in the later rounds, his production thus far has been more than adequate. Despite a somewhat limited ceiling, Watson should be able to do more than enough on most nights to be rostered in the majority of leagues.
Middleton exceeded 20 minutes for the first time this season, although he failed to make the most of his opportunity. Thus far, Middleton has looked like a shell of his former self, offering very little in terms of tangible production. In four appearances, he has averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game. Moving forward, Washington could certainly phase him out of the rotation.
Ayton played no more than 12 minutes for the second straight game, continuing what has been an underwhelming season thus far. Having been acquired by the Wizards during the offseason, Ayton finds himself firmly tethered to the second unit, playing as a backup option behind Alex Sarr and Anthony Davis. At this point, he holds little fantasy value outside of deeper formats.
George handed out a season-high 11 assists, making amends for what was a passive offensive night. Despite the debut of AJ Dybantsa, George logged a whopping 38 minutes, an encouraging sign for anyone rostering him. It appears as though Washington is fully invested in him moving forward, with foul issues seemingly his only stumbling block when it comes to playing time.
With Luka Doncic (back) unavailable for the second leg of this back-to-back set, Grimes got the starting nod for the first time this season. The 26-year-old shooting guard led the Lakers in minutes en route to team- and season-high marks in points, assists and steals. He's now scored in double figures in three of the Lakers' five regular-season games thus far.
With Ausar Thompson shedding his probable tag to suit up Wednesday, Jenkins came off the bench for a second straight game. The 25-year-old was productive, scoring in double figures for a fourth consecutive contest while bouncing back from a 1-for-6 shooting performance from downtown in the front end of this back-to-back set. He also tallied a season-high mark in steals.
Flagg's phenomenal 2026-27 campaign continued Wednesday, with the 2025 No. 1 overall pick scoring over 20 points for the third time this season. He hasn't been consistent shooting the ball, and turnovers have also been somewhat of a concern. However, despite the struggles in those areas, Flagg is still putting up All-Star numbers, and at this rate, his name could be mentioned in MVP conversations throughout the year.
Thompson wasn't very aggressive hunting his shot in this one. However, he got his teammates involved, recording a game-high mark in assists while dishing out at least eight dimes for just the fourth time in his career. The 23-year-old swingman also led the club in rebounds.
Cunningham knocked down a season-high four triples en route to his first 30-point performance of the year. The star point guard also finished second on the club in assists and has yet to dish out fewer than seven dimes in a game this season. Through five regular-season games, he's averaging 22.6 points, 7.8 assists, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals in 34.5 minutes per contest.
Schroder was productive on the offensive end Wednesday, finishing as Charlotte's second-leading scorer. The veteran floor general also led the Hornets in assists and has dished out at least five dimes in three consecutive contests. He should continue to see increased burn for as long as Coby White (calf) is out.
Head coach Charles Lee said postgame that Reid "didn't meet our standards in the first half," and he didn't step on the hardwood in the second half. Although he saw limited action, the big man still finished as the Hornets' third-leading rebounder. He scored 17-plus points in each of the first four games of the regular season, recording two double-doubles in that span.
After ending the 2025-26 campaign by averaging a career-high 17.0 points, Giddey has been quiet on the offensive end in his first five appearances of the season. While he should pick it up at some point moving forward, he might not be as productive offensively as he was in previous years, considering the Bulls have Caleb Wilson, Matas Buzelis and Norman Powell all looking for scoring opportunities. Still, Giddey is a skilled all-around player, so he should continue to make a difference in other statistical areas even if he doesn't increase his scoring contributions.
After erupting for a season-high 39 points in Monday's win over the Wizards, Miller reached the 30-point threshold for a third consecutive contest Wednesday. The star swingman also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds en route to his first double-double of the season. Additionally, he tallied multiple steals for the third time in the last four games.
Buzelis had just 11 points in Monday's 133-99 loss to Boston. He got it together Wednesday, ending the night by tying for his second-highest points total of the season thus far. Buzelis is beginning to find his rhythm after a slow start to the 2026-27 campaign, with the 22-year-old shooting 50.0 percent from deep in his last two appearances while amassing one steal in each of his previous three games.
Wilson's solid inaugural campaign continued Wednesday, with the rookie reaching the 20-point mark for the third time in his young career. While the 20-year-old has certainly been a steady offensive contributor, he's also shined defensively and now has nine steals in his first five professional appearances.
Powell ended with his highest-scoring game of the 2026-27 campaign Wednesday. He is still a threat from deep. However, Powell has shown growth as a defender and is now averaging a career-best 2.2 steals in his first five games as a Bull.
On a night when Josh Hart and Mikal Bridges struggled, Anunoby stepped up and ended with his highest scoring effort of the 2026-27 campaign thus far. He did hit his head on Karl-Anthony Towns' knee in the second quarter, and though he stayed in the contest, it's worth monitoring ahead of Friday's game in Philadelphia.
With Alperen Sengun (back) and Steven Adams (calf) both sidelined, Capela topped 11 minutes for the first time this season. The veteran big man was productive in the win, finishing as Houston's second-leading rebounder while pacing all players in steals. He'll likely continue seeing increased playing time for as long as Sengun is sidelined, though the star center is currently considered day-to-day.
Towns couldn't hit the 20-point mark for the fourth straight game, but it was still a solid showing overall. The 30-year-old has now finished with a double-double in each of his first five appearances of the 2026-27 campaign, though turnovers have been an issue. Towns did exit the game briefly after suffering a left wrist injury in the first quarter. While he managed to return and finish the contest, there's a chance he'll appear on the injury report ahead of Friday's game in Philadelphia.
After dropping 11 points on the Bulls in the first quarter, Brunson cooled off. However, he stepped on the gas in the fourth, scoring 14 of his 38 points to lead the Knicks to their second consecutive win after losing three games to begin the 2026-27 campaign. The 30-year-old is now averaging 25.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists across 35.2 minutes per contest in his first five games of the season. Brunson hasn't shot the ball well overall, though his performance Wednesday could have been a sign that he's ready to turn things around.
Thompson delivered an extremely efficient performance from two-point range en route to a season-high 23 points. He finished as the Rockets' second-leading scorer while reaching the 20-point mark for the second time through five regular-season appearances. He's averaging 18.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.0 steals across 33.9 minutes per contest on the campaign.
VanVleet posted just five points on 2-of-7 shooting in Monday's win over Atlanta, though he bounced back Wednesday. The veteran floor general turned in an efficient performance, scoring a game- and season-high 24 points. He also led the Rockets in assists and has yet to dish out fewer than five dimes in a game this season.
Jakucionis didn't light up the scoring column, though he did dish out a game-high mark in assists. The second-year floor general has recorded at least five assists in three of the last four games and continues to play a significant role off Milwaukee's bench.
Herro didn't stuff the stat sheet in this one, though he turned in another efficient shooting performance and led Milwaukee in scoring. The star guard also connected on a game-high-tying four three-pointers and has made at least three triples in four of his five regular-season appearances. He's scored at least 23 points four times this season.
Flemings had scored just 13 total points on 33.3 percent shooting through the first four games of the season, but he caught fire Wednesday, finishing with a career high while missing just three shot attempts. He was one of the few Atlanta players to find success offensively in Wednesday's loss, so it'll be interesting to see if that translates to more minutes in Thursday's meeting with the Cavs.
Daniels was limited to just four points, four assists and one steal his last time out, and while the scoring was still low, it was a positive to see him come through with the dimes and defensive stats. He's been a top-50 option through the first five games of the season with averages of 12.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 3.4 steals and just 0.8 turnovers per contest.
After scoring a season-low eight points on 4-of-13 shooting in Monday's win over Indiana, Jaquez bounced back Wednesday, albeit in a losing effort. The 25-year-old swingman finished as Milwaukee's second-leading scorer, knocking down a season-best three triples. He's scored at least 19 points in four of his five regular-season appearances and should continue playing a sizable role for the Bucks alongside Tyler Herro.
Bane was coming off a 22-point performance against the Knicks on Sunday, but the veteran guard was not as efficient during Wednesday's win. He connected on at least 39.0 percent of his three-point attempts in each of the two prior seasons, but he's gone 10-for-36 (27.8 percent) from beyond the arc through the first four games of the 2026-27 campaign. Still, Bane is expected to have a larger workload for as long as Paolo Banchero (ankle) is out of action.
Johnson has been struggling mightily from three-point range to start the season, going 5-for-23 from beyond the arc. However, there's no way he'll shoot this poorly all season given that he converted 35.2 percent of his three-point attempts last year, so fantasy managers should stay patient through this slow start.
Mitchell was coming off back-to-back 20-plus-point performances while shooting 60 percent from the floor, but his scoring came back down to earth Wednesday evening. Still, he came through with the assists and steals and committed just two turnovers in his 34 minutes of floor time. He's gotten off to an impressive start this season, and he'll look to keep rolling Friday against the Pacers.
Antetokounmpo dominated the glass, ripping down a season-high 18 rebounds, as he helped guide the Heat to their first regular-season win. The 31-year-old superstar has been thriving on his new team, averaging 27.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 blocks per game.
This was a nice bounce-back performance for Adebayo following Monday's eight-point, 3-for-10 shooting effort, and he finished with a sterling plus-22 differential in the 12-point victory. He also became Miami's all-time leading rebounder, surpassing Udonis Haslem, who had held the mark since Nov. 21 of 2012.
The Magic struggled on both ends of the floor Wednesday, but da Silva managed to lead his team in scoring on only 10 field-goal attempts. He's connected on at least four three-pointers in three of the first four games of the regular season and has gone 14-for-31 (45.2 percent) from beyond the arc in that span. Da Silva's production floor will continue to be elevated for as long as Paolo Banchero (ankle) is on the shelf.
Wagner led the Magic in assists and finished second on the team in points behind Tristan da Silva (20). However, Wagner was also responsible for a season-high seven turnovers, although he's expected to have the ball in his hands more for as long as Paolo Banchero (ankle) and Jalen Suggs (knee) are sidelined.
After shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the field for 24 points in his last time out, Curry was far more aggressive hunting his shot Wednesday. Although he didn't deliver his most efficient performance from the floor, the superstar guard got to the charity stripe often and scored his most points since Dec. 14, 2025. He contributed in other areas as well, tying for the team lead in rebounds. Curry also tied for second on the Warriors in assists and tallied multiple steals for the third time across four regular-season appearances thus far.
Black was moved into the starting lineup Wednesday due to the absence of Jalen Suggs (knee). Black averaged 16.5 points, 4.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds over 32.4 minutes per game across 40 starts during the 2025-26 season, but he failed to meet those numbers in Orlando's loss to Toronto. There will be more opportunities ahead for the 2023 first-rounder, seeing as Suggs is expected to be sidelined for at least the next two weeks.
Shead's 13 points led all Raptors bench players Wednesday, and his seven dimes were tied with Immanuel Quickley for most on the team. It was Shead's first double-digit scoring effort of the season, and he'll continue to lead Toronto's second unit as the backup to Quickley.
Poeltl barely saw the floor Wednesday due to foul trouble, and he finished with less playing time than backup big men Collin Murray-Boyles (15 minutes) and Trayce Jackson-Davis (20 minutes). Poeltl is off to an incredibly slow start to the regular season, with the veteran center averaging 2.8 points and 4.5 rebounds over 19.5 minutes per game. He seems to merely be a placeholder in the starting five, as the Raptors appear to be more content with Murray-Boyles, especially in high-pressure points during the game.
Quickley didn't have a great shooting night from the floor overall, but he had success from beyond the arc. He's averaging 2.8 threes per contest while connecting on 35.5 percent of his attempts from deep through the first four games of the regular season. Quickley can be inconsistent with his shot on a night-to-night basis, but his scoring output will be more valuable than ever given the extended absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee).
Barrett helped the Raptors jump out to an early lead with 12 points in the first quarter before adding another nine in the second. His 25 points were second-most on Toronto behind Scottie Barnes' 28, and Barrett was one rebound shy from logging his first double-double of the season. The veteran forward has scored at least 20 points in each of the first four games of the regular season, and his offensive output will be needed more than ever by the Raptors given the extended absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee).
Jokic ended with his second triple-double of the 2026-27 campaign Wednesday. However, he wasn't perfect, amassing seven turnovers to bring his total to 16 on the year. The multi-time MVP is now averaging 22.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.8 blocks over 37.1 minutes per contest in his first four regular-season appearances, though he has shot an inefficient 21.7 percent from deep.
Barnes bounced back in a major way Wednesday after shooting 0-for-12 from the field and scoring zero points in Sunday's loss to Minnesota. The star forward turned in an extremely efficient outing against Orlando and led all players in scoring. He also stuffed the stat sheet on the defensive end, recording a game-high three steals and logging at least four combined steals-plus-blocks for a third consecutive contest. Barnes should continue to take on increased responsibilities in the extended absence of Kawhi Leonard (knee).
Siakam led his team in scoring and nearly tied Tyrese Maxey for the game high. It was a solid showing from the 2016 No. 27 overall pick, who recorded his second consecutive double-double. With Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) sidelined for at least a couple of weeks, there will be room for others to step up. However, Siakam is expected to be the team's top producer more often than not until Haliburton is back on the floor.
Luka Doncic (back) and Ziaire Williams (foot) won't play, giving LaRavia a chance to make his first start of the 2026-27 campaign. The 2022 No. 19 overall pick started 43 regular-season games in 2025-26, averaging 9.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 steals across 29.7 minutes per contest in those appearances.
With Luka Doncic (back) sidelined, Grimes will get the starting nod for the first time this season. Through four regular-season outings, he's averaging 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 24.3 minutes per tilt.
Dybantsa missed Washington's first four regular-season games due to a left ankle sprain but made his NBA regular-season debut Wednesday. The rookie first overall pick was under a minutes restriction, though he still finished as the Wizards' leading scorer in an efficient performance from two-point range. He should operate as one of the Wizards' top scoring options, though it wouldn't be surprising to see him remain on a minutes restriction in the short term.
