FANTASY NEWS

Sharp from charity stripe in return

Anunoby suited up Tuesday for the first time since May 6, but thanks to the Knicks making quick work of the 76ers in the second round while the Cavaliers needed seven games to dispatch the Pistons, the ninth-year forward ended up missing just two contests. He was able to return to the lineup for the series opener versus Cleveland without any notable restrictions, as his 34 minutes were right in line with his average of 33.2 per game during the regular season. Anunoby struggled to connect from deep Tuesday, but he played a key part in helping the Knicks ice the game. All eight of his makes from the charity stripe came in the final three minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime.

Double-doubles in Game 1 win

Towns, while not at his best, chalked up his third double-double in the past four games, while also handing out at least five assists for the eighth straight contest. Matched up against the size of Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, Towns certainly held his own on both ends of the floor. He continues to serve as an offensive hub, averaging 6.7 assists in 10 appearances over the past month.

Drops 18 points in comeback win

Bridges continues to play much better on the offensive end, shooting at least 50 percent from the floor for the eighth consecutive game. After trailing by 22 points midway through the final quarter, New York was able to rally back, stealing the victory in overtime. Bridges landed a crucial three-pointer in the final minute of regulation, leveling the scores for the first time since the opening term. Bridges appears to have rediscovered his mojo, averaging 17.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in four appearances over the past two weeks.
