Plans to sign with Philadelphia
After exercising his $21.6 million player option in June, Caldwell-Pope is set to join LeBron James and the 76ers for the 2026-27 campaign. Caldwell-Pope was traded from Orlando to Memphis in June 2025 and appeared in 51 regular-season games (14 starts) with the club before undergoing surgery on his right pinky finger in February. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 21.3 minutes per contest with the Grizzlies. The 33-year-old is now expected to compete with Anfernee Simons, Labaron Philon and Justin Edwards for playing time off the bench.

Heading to Philadelphia
After spending the last eight seasons with the Lakers, James will join the 76ers as he aims to compete for his fifth championship in the twilight of his career. The superstar forward remained highly productive in 2025-26, averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 combined steals-plus-blocks across 33.2 minutes per contest in 60 regular-season games. The 41-year-old will likely see a decline in usage alongside a stacked starting five that is set to include Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecombe. Still, James should be a crucial piece for Philadelphia.

Scores 15 points with four dimes
Maddox scored in double figures in all five of his Las Vegas Summer League appearances for the 76ers while consistently bringing energy on the defensive end. He signed a Summer League deal with Philadelphia, so it'll be interesting to see if he earns a training camp invite.
