Dominates Sweden on Sunday
The superstar big man led France in both scoring and rebounding Sunday, helping pick up the slack left behind by the absence of Rudy Gobert. Wembanyama, the NBA's reigning Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 3.1 blocks and 1.0 steals per game across 64 regular-season appearances in 2025-26, and he's likely to be either the first or second player off the board, perhaps behind only Nikola Jokic, in most fantasy drafts for the 2026-27 campaign.

Preparing for rookie year
Reed lines up as the Spurs' third-string center behind Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet in 2026-27. Jayden Quaintance's status for the start of his rookie season appears to be in serious doubt due to offseason knee surgery, but Reed is still likely to need an injury to either Wembanyama or Kornet in order to come into legitimate fantasy relevance.

Re-signing with Spurs
Jones Garcia is set for his second season with San Antonio in 2026-27, though most of his action is likely to come with the G League's Austin Spurs. He underwent ankle surgery in February, so it's unclear if Jones Garcia will be ready for full participation in training camp this fall.
