Participating in on-court drills Tuesday
Dybantsa hasn't been cleared to make his NBA debut after picking up a left ankle sprain in the team's preseason finale. However, he's trending in the right direction according to coach Brian Keefe, hinting that a return either Wednesday against Cleveland or Friday against Charlotte could be on the table. Washington should have another update on the rookie's status after he goes through practice Tuesday.

Ruled out for Monday
Dybantsa will miss a fourth consecutive contest due to a left ankle sprain, and his next chance to play will come Wednesday against Cleveland. With the rookie No. 1 overall pick sidelined, Bilal Coulibaly and Tre Johnson will likely continue seeing increased playing time.

Three rejections in Saturday's win
After failing to record a block in the first two games of the season, Sarr opened his account with a big night at the rim in Chicago. The third-year center's 10 points were also his best effort yet in 2026-27, as he attempts to find his place in an offense that's set to be dominated by Trae Young and Anthony Davis as long as both veterans stay healthy, and which will need to accommodate first overall pick AJ Dybantsa (ankle) in the near future as well.
