Chips in 15 points Friday
Williams didn't take a lot of shots during Friday's contest, but he was efficient enough to finish as the Pistons' second-leading scorer behind Ebuka Okorie (27 points). Williams spent the entire 2025-26 season in the G League with the Motor City Cruise, and he figures to do the same in the upcoming season unless he cracks a NBA team's 15-man roster at the end of training camp.

Game-high 27 points in SL loss
Okorie made most of his scoring impact just before and after halftime, scoring 21 of his game-high 27 points across the second and third quarters of Friday's game. The rookie first-rounder has been solid across his five outings in the Summer League and figures to compete with Daniss Jenkins, Kevin Huerter, Isaiah Joe and Gary Harris for backcourt minutes off the bench behind starters Cade Cunningham and Duncan Robinson.

Scoreless in SL loss
After sitting out Monday due to undisclosed soreness, Gayle returned to action Wednesday but failed to score. The undrafted rookie had scored 10 points in each of his previous two Summer League appearances, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the field and 4-for-4 from three-point range over that span.
