FANTASY NEWS

Inks two-way deal with Sacramento

The Suns waived Plowden on July 6 after being traded to Phoenix in the massive seven-team trade involving Kevin Durant landing with the Rockets. The Bowling Green product played in six regular-season games with the Hawks during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 7.2 points and 1.8 rebounds across 12 minutes per game while shooting 64 percent from the floor and 52.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Plans to re-sign with Sacramento

McDermott is set to return to Sacramento for his second season, and he'll help offer the team a veteran presence off the bench. That said, he's unlikely to see meaningful playing time in the Kings' frontcourt as long as DeMar DeRozan and Keegan Murray are healthy in 2025-26. Last year, McDermott logged a mere 8.1 minutes per game across 42 regular-season outings but did shoot a career-high 43.6 percent from three-point range during his limited action.

Struggles from floor in SL loss

Carter struggled to find his shot Sunday, shooting just 20 percent from three and 31.3 percent overall. Much of his volume came based on the Hornets' defensive scheme, which consisted of Carter being guarded by big men who would give up the outside shot rather than allowing him to get into the lane. Aside from his struggles from the floor, Carter did well distributing, logging a game-high seven assists.
